Ladies, I have been rubbish! I decided that wedding planning was crap, stupid and horrible and I didnt want to play anymore. So I didnt.
We had a great Christmas and New Year and through that time we had a good break from 'W-word' stuff and have come out of that knowing exactly what we want, where and when and we've got a date reserved so we can pay the deposit on pay day. Yeah!
Are now getting married in Turkey due to the horrible health scares of South Africa and also due to the financial nightmare we're all caught up in. We're getting married on a boat and I am not having a wedding dress. Instead I'm going to find a gorgeous summer frock which I can wear again and enjoy, instead of spending a grand on something I will wear for 6 hours and then never be able to get into again! My mother nearly disowned me, but in my new-found confidence in the whole idea, I was able to stick to my guns and ignore her. So now Im just waiting for the summer clothes to come out in the shops.
We both feel much more relaxed and happy about the whole thing and I'm slowly beginning to believe that getting married can be fun! So I'm back and raring to go.... not that I have to do much, which is even more fun!
