A Marquee do you know someone that can do it cheap I priced them started from £2000 plus chairs tables etc... Just a thought we are on a TB as well. We are hiring the local hall... to be honest it was really lovely we were shocked when we saw inside... we are having a hog roast which works out a cheap way of feeding alot of people. Thing is a hall will have talbes and chairs that you can use for free Have a look at the sample rails in the bridel shops now you can save £100's I know i did its the dresses that brides have tried on but not worn... mine didnt even need to be cleaned... Got the maids dresses from debenhams they have loads of lovely ones in at the moment as they have the christmas range...We made our own invites... Got cards from the range 50 for £7 then printed the inside and stuck them in with double sided tape we bought a stencil for the front. They have web sites to help you do the tall inner. We will make our own favours yet to work out that yet... £5000 is high I agree... We are having a church wedding and to be honest we have not asked how much that will be as we don't care that is the most important part so everything else can be cut back on bar that we thought... good luck with your planning you will find everyone so helpful on here xx |

My h2b and I have just moved in together but he is still commuting all the way to sleaford from doncaster which is costing us a fortune! We're working on about 8 grand but luckily my parents have been very generous are paying for most of it. My mum is doing all my table decorations and finding me bargains in garden centres and charity shops! I'm having a designer dress copied by a wonderful dress maker who's a friend of the family and instead of favours we're dontaing the money to charity! We're paying for the honeymoon ourselves but because we already live together and have all the housey things we need we are asking guests to buy us currency for the honeymoon! There are loads of ways to have a beautifule and elegant wedding without blowing the budget and the shops are brimming with gorgeous candle holders and things which make great table decorations. juat have fun and don't worry! Good luck x x x x |
