Well I never, as of yesterday, only 5days after the 'please rsvp by' date, we have them all back! Even all the evening ones! To be fair, we only have 56 for the day and about 40 for the evening. But after worryingly readin all these forums on rude guests and having to chase silly people up ive found it the least stressful part! Now comes the real stress....the table plan! tbc x

Excited Bride To Be....has her Hen Weekend!

Ive survived! After the panic that it wouldnt be organised, we had a fab funfilled weekend in sutton, Norfolk!

The whole thing was a suprise, i kept getting little bits accidently leaked to me, but still no clue until we arrived! We set off friday morning, 26th June. Someone had dropped out the night before so i began worrying abou the price of petrol. It now meant i was driving...all 5hours of the way! Ive drove on a motorway twice, so i was a little nervous. I took forever to get ready, i was thrown a little by the sad news of M.Jacksons death-i was a massive fan all through my youth-and i got ready the wrong way round-putting on all my makeup before realising i needed a shower, doh! Eventually i began packing and got to the other house just after 9. After cramming everything in, we set off to Norfolk. We borrowed a sat nav from my h2bs dad, and straight away the directions were wrong, but i was told it would and it'd correct itself by the m6. Unfortunately, after a gross motorway sandwich, we got split up so followed the sat nav to the postcode they'd put in. We arrived at the destination, only to find out it was the right street name, just in the wrong village! So we had a very stressful half hour trying to ring people in an area with no reception and a crap sat nav! Fortunately we arrived to a bbq in full flow, so i got shown round the cute little cottage and settled into my role as chef-i do a mean bbq! After stuffing ourselves with food, we set up the choc fountain. But it went wrong when someone added cold rum, oops! We still managed to pick out bits of chos with marshmallows! :)
A few hours of singstar later we played cranium-with hillerious consequences! Then went to bed...well, when i said we...one girl had a bit of a strop when we didnt guess her drawing and after a cig she went to bed. So, instead of me attempting to sleep in the same bed we got out the sofa bed. Mum swapped rooms but then stayed in my bed after finding a big plank right across her bed! The next morning we made breakfast and got everyone up. The girl who stropped said she felt ill and tired and even asked the future mother in law to drive her home-all 5hours of it! We think this is the point where she lost it. But away from the weirdness. The sat was very humid, but no rain, woo! They had hired a boat to go around part of the Norfolk broads, i love the idea of going on a canal boat so this was cool! Although we didnt get much of a lesson, just sent on our way. So, whats the first thing we do...take the wrong turning! I had to perfom a turn in the river with a boat that has no str=eering in reverse! Though, after a mini panic, i must say i did a fab job! After an hour we moored at a gorgeous country pub-when i say moored, i was doing really wel; until i went back a little fast and sent the mother in law 2b flying, oops! Lunch was gorgeous, and the ride back was alot smoother-even my nan had a go, shes never even drove a car!

That evening we all got glammed up and went to the local pub. We did stand out a mile in a gorgeous outfits, but we loved it!The food was sooo nice-i had a chicken and leek pie, yum-and managed to polish off 4 bottles of wine! Mums hair was getting curlier by the second with the humidity, so as we were polishing up the waitress told us there was a blues night on in the hall behind them for £5each. So off we went-not like there was much else to do, didnt fancy the trip to norwich! It actually was a great night, myself and the future sister in law ended up performing a jive on the floor! We went back to the cottage after midnight-in the pitch black, funny as-and played more singstar until 2am! Then after a nice sleep, we woke up to another warm day and decided to finish our weekend off at sea palin beach...gorgeous! Beautiful beach, rounders, frisbee, sunbathing, paddling, fish and chips...what more could a girl want! We all decided to pack up to head back sunday night, but we added an extra hour onto our journey with traffic all the way back....we got back after 11pm! Its now tues and i feel soooooooooo tired! But, even though we had a crazy lady on our trip, im remembering all our great times! I cant wait to have another girly holiday, bring on next year! woo!

I think i may have to show him one of the sets for our anniversary before the wedding just to try and keep myself quite and not give the game away!!! All i need to wait for now is the final book and print from Nicola, then ive got to try and hide it!
