Subject : Anyone want to be my weightloss pal??
Hi everyone
I was just hoping there was someone out there who is in the same situation as me and struggling to lose weight who would like to become my weight loss pal? Someone to share tips with, give encouragement and basically give me a a big kick up the backside when i flounder and i would do the same for them.
I'm 26 and hopefully getting married March 2011 (still waiting to set the offical date though) and i have about 4 stone to lose so i'm in need of some help!
Please please help!! Would anyone like to be my weight loss pal?

Thanx for responding to my plea lol
At the minute i've just been trying to eat healthier and eat less and do more exercise. I know i can do it, but i just get lazy and let my emotions rule my stomach too often so i need more encouragement than what i'm getting from my h2b (he cares but doesn't really understand lol)
I used to go to weight watchers about a year ago but stopped because i could no longer afford it. While i was there i lost nearly 2.5 stone but after i stopped i got lazy and then had an operation which left me laid up for awhile and i piled the weight all back on again. But i don't really want to go back to dieting as such, i just want to eat healthier and b more active because i know that a change in life style will be better than a quick fix fad diet.
I've started going to the gym 2 or 3 times a week which is helping to get me motivated but i have no will power and give in to food all the time even when i'm not really hungry, i'm just bored. It's so frustrating.
But even though i put 1lb on this week i feel quite good today because so far i've not been snacking unecessarily and i walked into town and back whereas i would normally drive. So so far so good, i just hope i don't ruin it later lol.
How about you? Have you been trying anything?

I really want to be your weight loss buddy as I REALLY need to do this. lI got engaged a few months ago and have the wedding booked for August 2010. I have 5 stone to get rid of but find it sooooo hard x x

Great the more weight loss pals i get the easier i'm hoping it will be lol if only! It's just so hard but come on we can do it! There is no way i'm walking down that aisle the size i am now becuse i know this isn't who i am. There's a slim girl inside trying desperately to get out lol.
Congrats on the engagement btw. I got engaged so long ago now the excitements kinda worn off lol but i can feel it building again the more i start planning my wedding :)
What have you been trying weight loss wise so far? I'm just trying to eat less, eat healthier and do more exercise. I don't want to do a diet as such because i'm not just trying to lose weight just for my wedding it's a lifestyle change i'm after, because like i say being this heavy doesn't feel like the real me and also i need to do it for my health.
Next time do you want to email me instead of posting on here?

You sound determined Kimmi16, and that really is half the battle. I know exactly what you mean. My biggest challenge is motivating myself to keep on going. I feel so deflated when I dont see instant results, but I guess at my size I have a long way to go before I look different. Feel free to email me anytime.
Cheny, we are both getting married in the same year and I want to lose the same amount of weight so know where you are coming from.

Hi Mrs Bernard,
It's so great to here from other people...its such a special time isnt it. I'm really down about the weight issue though as to me it's taking away a bit of the excitment. I really don't want to be like this on my wedding day (I WONT BE LIKE IT!!!).
I know what you mean as I get very deflated as I want to see the results now and when I don't I lose the motivation.....not good!! People say that getting married should be the biggest motivation there is and I do agree but I find it sooooo hard.
What shall we do???????? We got to do this and to do it healthy we have got to do it now!

Hi - can I join? I'm getting married in Sept 2010 and would like to lose 3 and a half stone - and keep it off!! I think my email is accessible through this site... I would appreciate any support as I suffer from PCOS, so weight loss is v difficult for me! Good luck ladies - lets kick some ass :) xx

Hey gals is anyone else feeling motivated yet? Cuz i sure am, i'm feeling all fired up and ready to go lol.
Have either of you tried any diets or been to any weightloss clubs before?
Anyone got any tips, anything that's worked for you before?
Here are my tips that i know work cuz they've helped me in the past:
- Drinking at least 1.5 litres of water a day (it fills u up and gives you more energy)
- weighing yourself each week at a set time and day and telling people about it (if somebodies there to hear how you've done it may motivate you to work harder)
- Keeping a food diary of what you eat each day. Then when you look back at it at the end of the week you can see what worked or what went wrong, plus it may make you feel guilty enough to change something
- trying to do some excercise each day even if it's only running up and down the stairs several times to fetch different things (remember every little bit counts and housework, washing the car, mowing the lawn and even going bowling are all forms of exercise)
Hope those help. They have done for me but like i said i get lazy and give up cuz like you guys i don't see the results instantly. But not this time!! Oh no this is the start of the new me! There you guys have witnessed that, i can't go back on my word and give up now!
Lucy - I think there's a button on the bottom of my posts that let's you email me not sure if i'm right as i'm new on here too. But as there's a tiny group of us now it may just be better to continue to post on here cuz then we can see what each other puts and can all help each other.
What's your name Mrs Bernard 2b? If you don't mind sharing of course.

Not reude at all...i'm 27 and live in Devon. What about you?
I think everything you have said to do makes sense and does work. I have been going to boots every Saturday to weigh myself and in the last 3 weeks I have lost 6pounds. I want it to be more and quicker so exercise is the next thing. Also not eating too late really helps.

Yeah a joint weigh day sounds like a good idea when i used to go to weight watchers the weigh in used to really help me cuz you could then talk about what you'd got. I've been weighing myself on a saturday morning before breakfast ( i put on 1lb this wk boohoo!) but i have a set of scales at home so any day is easy for me.
I'm 26 and live in glorious Wolverhampton in the West midlands lol
Eating late in the evening is my one big habit i need to break, that's when i tend to crave sugary things so it is my worst time of day. Sometimes i think i should just have my tea and then be in bed for 8pm lol that would sure stop me eating!
I feel quite good just now though. I've just had my tea and while i had boiled potatoes, loads of veg and salmon fillets my h2b sat there and ate greasy chips, beans and fatty burgers and his meal looked really disgusting. It made me feel so good :)

Hi! I'm also trying to lose weight for my wedding in August 2010. I've lost 9lbs so far and want to lose about another stone (ish).
I don't want to be skinny, just less fat, if you know what I mean! I just wanted to ask, some of you want to lose quite a lot of weight. Is this to make you the right weight for your height? Because now I'm thinking that I should aim for more weight loss than just another stone.

I want to lose 4 st. I currently weigh 14 st 4 lbs and I'm 5ft 8ins and i think that the ideal weight for my height is between 9.5 st and 11.5 st something like that anyway. I'm aiming for about 10 st mainly because that's what i used to be but i am willing to see what i feel like and look like when i get to 11 st and then decide if i should carry on or not. I may not need to as the last time i was 10st i was 19 and i'm now 26 i may feel that 11 st is the right weight for me now lol. Like you i don't want to be skinny, my h2b loves my sexy curves lol i just want to lose the weight so i can fit comfortably into clothes, and not feel like i have to breathe in all the time. Plus my health is suffering i suffer with asthma and it is loads worse since i've put my weight on, and unfortunately all my weight goes straight onto my stomach so i look like i'm pregnant and your also at more risk of diabetes if you carry your weight around your middle so i NEED to lose the weight. I just want to be healthy mainly.

I'm 26 too. I just checked what weight I should be, if I lose another stone I'd still be overweight.
I'm 5ft5 and currently 12st 3lbs, I've never put that in writing before, looks scary! I think I'd like to be 11 stone but not too sure!
I go swimming every weekday morning before school, gym twice a week and aqua fit once a week. My diet isn't great but it's better than it used to be, I just love naughty food too much!
