Just wondered with us all being young brides how long we have actually been with our h2b's and if you think it is long enough to know someone before getting married. I have been with my h2b nearly 4 years but dont get married til next may so will be nearly 5 years when we're married which i think is about right time for us. How about everyone else?

I dont think I count as a 'young bride' anymore. Im 24 will be 25 by the time im married. Been with my fiancee for 5 years will be 6 by the time we are married. We started dating when I had just turn 19 and he had just turned 22. Hes now 27 will be nearly 28 when we get married. Feel mega old saying that. Do you young brides think 24/25 is old?? Feel like an old fart sometimes

We've been together for 8 months & got engaged after 3 !! Yeah, it's not long, & get the bucket at the ready, but it was love at first sight for both of us, we live 310 miles apart & speak everyday & he makes the trek up here every friday & goes home every sunday !! I go down to his every couple of months when i can afford it. He's not been able to get a job up here yet (applied for 120 jobs) but theres a poss that his current job will be bringing him up here !!

We got engaged after 8 months, 'it's too soon, blah blah etc etc', however wanted to get engaged at 6months! and have set the date near to our 2nd year together. We have been through so much in the past four years (I had two g'parents pass away, and his dad had a 2nd heart attack, and his mum had a breakdown), so I think if we can make it through that we can make it through everything. We are certainly made for each other :)

Same as FutureMrsCover we moved in together after only 4 months. However it was 1yr 2months before he proposed when i was 21. We have been together and 1 & a half years now and when we marry Aug2010 it will be 2 and a half years. He's 26 and im 22 when we marry, so i guess im quite a young bride. Both of our parents are over the moon and have been a great help. x

I am 23 (think that still qualifies as a young bride lol) and my H2B is 29. i'll be 24 when we marry, H2B will be 30.

tallullah does the hula Joined : Feb 25, 2009 Posts : 465 Rank: Bridezilla My Other Topics	Posted : Oct 28, 2009 4:19:54 PM Subject : How long have you been with h2b? havent read all the posts just first page, didnt want to read and run however. i met john when i was 16, i was with him 8 years 10 monthes before he proposed, we was meant to get married on our 10 year anniversary but had to postpone by 364 days so instead of one anniversary we now have a weeks worth (we kissed on 18, officially started going out on 23 and will be married on 22) we did get engaged after 3 monthes but i called it off during an awful row, and it took him that long to pluck up the courage and ask again hehe. ;-) xx

My partner and I have been together since I was in highshool, we have lived long distance for my 5 year degree, and he wants to be traditional and not live together untill we are married, very cute. He proposed on our 5 year aniversery and we are getting married on our 6 year aniversery, we are 22 and 24.

We've been together since we were both 17, been long distance (ish) since with school (went to school 30 miles apart and only able to meet up on Sunday) and now university. He graduates in June so will move to be with me (we'll have been together 4.5 years then, and we're getting married a year and a bit later. We'll both still be 22. :)

I'm moving into our flat, on my own, in January (I think) so will be able to sort everything out, and then he'll move his stuff down once he's finished! At the minute we see each other Friday night - Monday night, but I just can't wait for it to be the whole week. We lived together for 3 months a year and a bit ago whilst we were working over the summer and it was amazing (even if we were also living with his auntie) and I just can't wait! I've got 2 years left at uni, so he'll be around whilst I'm stressing with my extended projects (I'm a mathematician, so don't quite have a dissertation)

My parents got married 8 months after meeting eachother, makes our engagement sound ages!

It will be 3 years in march, engaged last month, and by the time we get married (september 2011) we will have been togehter 4 1/2 years. I'm fed up of the raised eyebrows etc aswell, once you've found the one you just know. It feels so right. and so when they raise their eyebrows and are cynical now I just think that they must be jeakous because they just can't have found 'The One'. ;) lol. xxx

Which will mean we've been together for 6 years by then.:lol: We have been living together for 3 years and we got engaged a week ago! But we've been talking about it for ages....My soul mate..and I "just knew" too when we first got to know each other (we were 14) . Cheeeesy! My H2B and I have been together 3 years in Feb. We have been through a hell of alot together and seem to get stronger with each new thing that it sent our way! First I lost my job, then he had a serious carcrash, then he got diagnosed with cancer, then I had a baby that was born blind in one eye. I think when its right its right. My arse of a dad left my mum to bring up 6 kids on her own. She then met my step dad ( when I was about 13 and who is now walking me down the aisle). They married within 6 months of knowing each other and just celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary! xx
