can anyone help me as am stuck on what to put in two compulsory boxes on the eblueys. haven't done it before and h2b is struggling to get to a phone and computer that either works or they don't keep turning off. he's in the raf if that makes any difference to the boxes. am stuck on what to put in department/sub unit and ship name/unit. do i need to stick something in the formation box? i miss normal post!

can you not spread out the address so each line covers the madatory fields.
I did mine ages ago so cant really remember, but as long as all the info is there i dont think it matters too much. I might be wrong.

Do what Faye says I've done mine again with new op address and and have filled the boxes in different to last time i think i may have even but the same thing in 2 boxes the important bit in it is the name and number of who you are sending it and the bfpo number the other bits can be 'about' right if they are wrong he can tell you when he replies as they will tell him
hope this is of help but hard to explane without an address xxx

Sub unit in my case was the flight,eg B Flight.

Then unit is his squadron eg. 51, 63 etc.

Hope this helps. Dont worry too much as long as you have his service number and rank they should find him okay.

I'd also reccomend getting a handful of blueys from the post office - theyr free and its nice gettng handwritten letters

Long as you have his service number, rank, his reg and if they are attached to another reg, and his BFPO address you will be fine.
If you only had his service number and rank it could take a very long time to get to him.
Mind you it can take ages anyway!!!

thank you for helping me with my confusion. when i had to go to the family day thing instructions on how to do that would have been more use than the waffle i got. will have a try and see if it gets to him. will prob end up going to siberia rather than afganistan!

No worries, im sure it will be fine. H2Bs mum when she set up her ebluey site put the slightly wrong address, it did take a bit long but it did get there in the end.
