Hiya gymmonster! This is my first make up trial with a Mac counter, wanted to see if I could carry off the 50s look! Still got to have a make trial with my wedding make up artist but it will be about the same. Still not sure whether to go for the lipstick or not.

My mac trial..definitely going with the lipstick but black mascara rather than brown and a bit more eye definition..thinking silver and lilac rather than the pinks and browns they used. Going a much deeper red with my hair too.

I did this myself following my hair trial. Not sure if its too subtle for photos??

Thanks Fairythalia, your make up is very pretty too! Like the hair too. I still can't decide whether to go for it or not. My sister thinks it could look too strong with the ivory dress, but I was thinking it could look really striking!

I think in the evening, I might add a bit more make-up and go for smokey eyes and stronger lip colour? like this:

You can carry off the dark lipstick, definitely! Love the smokey eyes. And I prefer the hair down with the flower, I've bought something similar for my hair on the day.

I think it will look fab, If your look is 50's then its essential!! Just google 50's images, there is hardly any with subtle lips!! and it looks so nice!! Its defo your era!! x

I am really tempted to go with it, just need a bit of bravery really! Noticed on the sex and the city film that Carrie is wearing red lipstick and that looked really nice!

Your make up is fab Mrs Honey, is that what you're going for on the day? Think I remember talking to you about this on my thread in hair and make up.

That looks great Honey. Do you really need falsh lashes though? I'm sure youd look just as good without them.

lovely misshoney.. im not a real wearer of dark eye shadows, i feel my face is too small to pull it off if taht makes sense.. how did you manage to convert into human form from banana form to get it done, do you have a magic potion?

I whipped off the suit for five minutes and wrestled the make-up artist.. She got it done nice and quick

Yeah that's the colour I am going for on the day with a really bright pink lip!! Not decided on the false lashes yet Mrs PC, just can't decide if I can cope with them all day have put them on a few times since the trial! My eyelashes look a bit stumpy without though.. Bloody decisions!!
