Hi all you married ladies us none marrieds need some help! :) Did any of you wear a fishtail dress for your wedding? There is a thread in wedding fashion about fishtail dress worries and a few of us are now panicking about how you go to the toilet in one!!
Can anyone offer any advice? Can you pull them up to go to the toilet? Eek!!!? Any advice or experiences would be brill.

I don't see why you can't hoist them up like any other dress.
One of my friends got married in a fishtail and she seemed to manage fine. You might need to have a nominated Loo helper though...Like you mam or your bridesmaid.

You may need to loosen it to be able to move the dress

Haha what fun these dresses are - good luck

I wore a fishtail dress and it was no problem.
It was a two piece so i guess that made it a bit easier Razz

I wore a fightail dress but I am sorry I can't offer any advice - both times I wore my dress I never actually went to the loo believe it or not. The first time I married in Vegas and I didn't need the loo - I went right before I put it on and just never needed to go again all day until I took t off at our hotel room that night!

The second time I wore it was for a wedding party back home with our family and friends. I went the loo at home right before I put the dress on and I only wore it for the first couple of hours before changing into a white ivory short "party" dress and I never needed the loo before I changed so wasn't a problem.

To be honest though if I had needed the toilet before I took the dress off I can't see it would have been a huge problem. I guess I'd have just hiked it right up round my belly! I would have held it up before I stepped into the loos anyway though due to loo floors being dirty and yakky.

Hi
I got married on the 18th July and wore a true fishtail by Suzanne Neville (Its the Seville one). When I bought it they told me I would probably have to take it off to go to the loo but on the day I actually managed to hoist it up. You just need to make sure you get someone to pull down all the under netting etc afterwards so that it doesnt look all lumpy when you have finished. I loved mine and would choose any other style so I think its a good choice!

Mine was way too tight on the thighs to hoist up so I had to take it off. I went to the loo at 11am (before I put it on) and then only went once at about 8pm before taking it off again after midnight!!

Here are a couple of pics (thanks for asking!):
