Subject : Wedding dress shopping in Essex/London
Hi Ladies, I need to get an idea on the the best wedding dress shops in the Essex and London areas for my bezzy b2b and wondered if anyone had any suggestions?...
She's just got engaged and the date has been set for next May so she's very eager to get dress shopping... and i can't wait too! One of the best bits of planning!
Thanks

Hi, I went to Romantic Fashion Design Gallery, 65 Margaret Street (off Regent St) - they were really helpful and had loads of gorgeous (and affordable!) dresses to choose from. House of Fraser on Oxford St have a bridal section too plus I think someone else mentioned Chiltern St (just up from Oxford St, towards Baker St) had several bridal shops. Have fun!

Hi i am from Essex and i am getting my dress from pronuptia in Romford. Although my bridemaids dresses are from Precious Moments Bridal wear in Rayleigh - they seem to be quite cheap and very friendly. A friend of mine got hers from a lady who offers a service from home in Corringham, she raved about her. http://www.bridalwearbymelanie.co.uk/contact.asp

I've noticed that St Albans in Hertfordshire has a few excellent bridal shops so it might be worth visiting there - it's a lovely little town to spend a nice day shopping in and easy to get to from Essex or London. I was going to visit The Bridal Shop but didn't get around to it in the end: http://www.the-bride.co.uk/bridal_shop_st_albans.htm This is not so much a personal recommendation, more a good idea that I never followed up myself! In st Albans there is also a Pronuptia, which is good for great quality on a budget (my sister bought hers in their Richmond store). Good luck and enjoy your hunting!

try confetti and lace in lakeside, i went there when i first got engaged tried on almost every style of dress from loads of different makes. Theryre quite dear but a great place to spend a few hours tryin on to get an idea of what style she likes. Also the rose rooms in billericay high st is fantastic, i live just down the road from it and pop in there quite a lot. really good selection and suits most budgets

i have been to many dress shops and liked a few in each but the best by far was ring o roses in butlers wharf near tower hill. I ended up trying on about 15 styles all of which i would have been delighted to wear but ended choosing my favourite of the all.
i was spoilt for choice in that shop and would recommend to any b2b
