Is anyone else getting married at Somerford Hall in Brewood? We booked it a couple of months ago (for Nov 2009) but met a photographer last night who had done some weddings there and saw lots of photos and now I'm all excited again!

Hi Claire001 (and any other Somerford Hall weddings to be)

You don't know me Claire but I remembered that you had booked Somerford Hall.

We had our wedding there two weeks ago and it was wonderful. The staff worked so hard in the background and all the seemingly endless event sheet form filling in was so worth it as the day worked like clockwork.

The food was wonderful - clear plates throughout except for me, I was too excited (and too restricted by my corset!) to eat much.

The registrars were really friendly.

There was nothing I could fault (except for cold weather in July!) and I would reccomend them and a number of the suppliers on their list (we used Brett for photograpghy; collected miniature pics yesterday and they are fab, I used Rachel for make-up - again great, we used their suggested casino supplier at the last minture 'cos of the weather and they were fab too!). we didn't use their florist, I wanted something a bit more unsual so I used one in Stourbridge close to home.

I just thought that it would be reassuring to anyone booking or who has already booked to know that they are in safe hands with Somerford.

Good luck to all and I hope you enjoy you day as much as we did ours!! :\)

Bakey x

Somerford Hall is run by Aspire Venues and for that reason I would stay as far away as possible from it.

I have booked my wedding with another venue that Aspire manage (Eastington Hall) and with only 4 months to go until our wedding I found out via the registrar that Aspire venues will not be for filling our wedding... Aspire also have many outstanding CCJ's and are withholding our money.

Avoid this venue and any others that Aspire manage!

DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING AT SOMERFORD HALL - see the below thread for info on people running it...they were running Aspire Venues, ran off with everyones money (from three other venues!!!) and have started up at Somerford under a different company name.

Please take our advice and save yourself the heartache!

I visited Somerfield hall on 22 dec2011 looking at venues for my sons wedding in 2013. Beautiful place but found jo wiles co ordinator a bit disorganised. Has anyone recently had any experience of events/weddings etc at Somerford. What was your experience. Now hesitant at paying £1000 deposit upfront!!
