Subject: Wedding albums!!
Hello Newlyweds!!

Hope you all had lovely weddings!! I was just wondering if I could have some help...we used one of friends as our photographer for our wedding in December, he took lots of lovely professional photos, but we now want to make a nice storybook style album of them. I was just wondering if anyone could recommend a good website that we could use to produce a high quality photoalbum at a reasonable price.

Thank-you,

Laura,

Hi

I used Kodak Gallery to do our wedding albums (we had two weddings!) and they were really good (pretty good for the budget too!).

Lidl have also just started doing photobooks - but I don't know what the quality is like yet.

by the way - you should ensure you have plenty of time to do your album. I ended up with over 1000 pictures of our English wedding day; it took me forever to sort through and pick out the best ones, then organise them in to some kind of order and finally place them in a pretty way in the book! I'm talking about a week of my working life (or not so hard working life!)

We've been looking into doing this too and there are a couple of reviews on youtube - My publisher/blurb/snapfish/kodak etc.

I think we are leaning more towards the My Publisher at the moment ...

Don't know if you're still looking, but our photographer recommends Bob Books (www.bobbooks.co.uk) - its what he does his albums with, but its available to anyone.

They do one type of photobook that is on photographic paper so its high quality and clarity, and opens out fully like an album. Its not 'cheap' at about £36 for 26 pages, but to me its worth the investment as it will last. We're planning on using them to do a small album for each set of parents.

Jessops do a few different styles of photobooks on their website. Different size, anmount of photos and choice of prices. You can upload your photos on to thier website and either edit the book yourself or your use your photos (in timeline order) and they will edit the book for you. Takes a few days and then they e-mail you a link to view the photobook. If you like it you buy it, if you don't like it you don't buy it! There is no commitment to purchase the finished product as they don't print it off until it's purchased.

Hope this helps!

Look at www.blurb.com - this was recommended by a photographer we saw and was highly recommended.
