I've just seen the dress of my dreams but I'm holding back on buying it as I'm not sure about accessories. The dress is a very pale blush pink, so lovely, and I'm thinking of going for pale blue flowers. It's a bit of a vintage theme! What colour shoes could I go for? I don't want anything too matchy-matchy and want to be able to wear them again.

I am having a vintage dress, an original from the forties in long satin. I am not sure what shoes to wear. In my dream I would wear some Louboutins but obviously they are really expensive but I love anything glam and sparkly! Do you know where I can find high shoes (I like high!) with lots of bling that look really classy but are reasonably affordable - I'm also a size 3...really petite! Please help me find my amazing crystally shoes!

Thank for your question. The style and colours sound great. I would suggest a nude colour shoe which would work perfectly with the pale blush pink dress and pale blue flowers. Make sure you choose the right shade of nude to complement the dress. It’s the type of colour you can wear with many different outfits so you will be able to wear the shoes again and again.

Thank you for your question. That sounds amazing to find an original forties dress in long satin. If its crystal shoes that you are after but on a budget I would suggest finding your preferred colour high heels and applying the Swarovski crystals yourself if you have the time. That way you will have a much better selection on shoe style to choose from. As long as you have a steady hand and patience you will be able to get the desired result. I would also suggest that you look around at all the sales on at the moment as your lucky enough to have petite feet, so you may find that your size is still available.

Thank you for your message. Peach coloured dresses can be hard to match and it depends on the shade. If it’s a pale peach tone I would suggest an ivory or nude colour but the best way to tell is to take your dress with you when you try on the shoes or alternatively if you are having the dress made take a swatch of the fabric with you. I've got my heart set on wearing flat ballet pumps to my wedding as I just can't imagine spending a whole day in heels! I want something pretty and love the idea of applying crystals myself as you suggested to TheNextMrsC! What material does this work best on? Will they stick without falling off on leather?

And my original question! My bridemaids want to wear heels - will this look okay if I'm in flats?! Is there a half way suggestion I can make to them?
