I have a burning question!

I'm getting married in November and I don't want a full length dress - what to do about leg coverings? I hate tights but don't want that attractive corned beef leg effect. And as a pale redhead, I am not a friend to fake tan!

I'm getting very flummoxed about what you can/can't wear with a veil (fingertip - I don't suit birdcages so that's not an option). Whenever you see pictures of people with combs, headpieces, etc they rarely show veils. And which ones are you meant to get pins with?!

I would like to try on a Vera Wang dress but I am a size 18. I have spoken to a store who say Vera wants can be ordered up to a size 18 but the sample is a 12 so I won't be able to try it - how can I decide if it's a dress for me to order if I can't try it on?

I have tried lots of dresses on but can't seem to find THE ONE !!! I am looking for a strapless ivory fishtail gown, with the WOW factor, I really like the Rigel dress by Complice Stalo Theodorou but can't find a stockist anywhere near me. Do you know of any gorgeous dresses like this one ? I get married in Zante next year and don't want a destination dress.

Hi! I'm a size 16/18 at the moment, but I'm losing weight (have lost 2st already). I'm getting married next Sept, and I'm wondering when it's best to try on wedding dresses. Is there any point trying on now, while I'm still losing weight? Also, what sizes are samples in the shops? I'd be embarassed to go in and have nothing fit!
thanks
Jenny

Hello Titianette,
Welcome

Are you going for a 60’s vibe? Then what about over the knee socks they do not feel as restricting as tights. Or what about you wearing knee high white boots? That will cover as much leg as possible under a short dress? There are a couple of options here, to prevent the “corned beef” effect; you will have to protect your legs in some way. There are a huge variety of very sheer tights 8 denier for example (M&S, Figleaves have a huge range) that would cover and not be too heavy. They can give just a slight healthy glow or hold ups? Again not too heavy

I am not a great fan of fake tan, unless it done really well and by an expert, there is nothing worse than tiger/lepoard legs, and orange heels, but bare skin in November if you are in the UK, it is likely the dreaded Blue leg will show up if you don’t cover up.ps ever thought about a trouser suit?
