Subject: Something nice for the groom!
Hi girls!

Im sure il be able to get some inspritation from you all here. Basically, i want to do something lovely for my H2B! wether its a surprise on our wedding day, or a few days before, or after. He's of the opinion that while the day is about us, it (in his words) "is always mroe about the bride+the dress"....and while i see his point, i just want him to feel so special+loved on our day! When im (hopefully) getting people coming up to me saying "oh my god, you look amazing", i dont want him to feel ignored/less important!
So, any ideas for doing something nice for him?? Im having a boudoir photoshoot done and giving him the album the night before the wedding, but i really wana spoil him!

Thanks, looking forward to hearing all your amazing ideas

Tina

My Groom feels the same. the special things I am doing for him are only small but I think that they are all meaningful. I have bought them as I have gone along to spread out the cost.

The first thing I bought were a pair of personalised cuff links, which were made using a sample of my wedding dress set in some resin and applied to a sterling sliver back. I have also got a pair of these for my dad.

The next two things are more personal to him as he specifically mentioned that he wanted them. They are a tie pin and a reall nice pocket watch with our wedding date engraved on the back.

I am also making him a little book of lots of photos, memories and reasons why I love him (similar to the oh so cherished books).

Other things I have thought of are his favourite aftershave, some new underware and socks and anything that will make him feel his best.

Good Luck xx

I have got or am getting my Groom

:- My Gorgeous Groom (book I've made on photobox)
:- Message Book, with good luck & congratulations from all his favourite bands & artist's!
:- Groom Socks (has 16.02.2013 Groom on one side and So you don't get cold feet on the other side)
:- A really cheap plastic stitch disney ring, that he joked about wanting after we got engaged.
:- Game Over T-Shirt (he's a gaming nerd, it's a silly gift)
:- Boudior photoshoot (still deciding)
:- And then a few of his fave things, red bull, chocolate etc

my h2b dreams of driving an f1 but the cost of doing this is mega bucks! I'm still pondering as he'd kill me for spending so much but on the flip side...he'll love me forever

I'm going to make my boy a Stag Survival Kit. :P I know it's not special, more fun, but I don't want to spend lots of money on him when we're alerady payng for a wedding and when he's unlikely to get me anything. I like to give him things to remind him I'm thinking of him then, not to cherish forever - if that makes sense?

i did my husband a special little box of little things and I cant express how well it went down, he RARELY crys and apparently it made him teary!!
It contained a letter from Manchester United signed by Sir Alex Ferguson, the Man U programme from the day we met (as you can guess he is a huge fan!!), personalised cufflinks which were his fav, he even got the photographer to take loads of pics of them, they had our intitals and the date on them, personalised socks, nice new underwear (i was making the effort so could he and a bottle of his favourite beer to calm his nerves. I put little tags on each pressie with clues as to what they were and he loved it all
the whole thing cost me like £50 but meant so so much more to him xx

I am going to make up a little 'groom' kit for the wedding day with mints, tissues, beer!, deodorant and other little bits and bobs but I was thinking about getting us matching hoodys.

Is this too chavy?! I was thinking navy with white writing on the back. I am taking his name so mine would say 'Lady MXXXXX' with the wedding date underneath in smaller writing and his would be the same.

Is that a bit tacky and chavy? Just thought it'd be fun and nice to wear them home on the plane together as we get married in Cuba in January so will need a nice jumper for the journey home.

As they would only have our name and the date on them we could wear them again although prob not at the same time.

Thoughts please?

ive bought some nice (and very expensive) cigars for h2b so he btter like them :P and he has been going on for ages about how a birthday cake gets candles a wedding cake should get candles (and get an even bigger wish when you blow them out) so i have organised for a friend of mine to put the candle on and light it last minute h2b will be so surprised because i have been saying no from the beginning

i have got a few other bits and pieces for him.... i have always said from the beginning that the day is about both of us not just me and my dress... oh and i also got him some groom socks so he doesnt get cold feet :P hehe
