I think i travelled round the whole of the north west looking for shops to try dresses on lol

The big day in castleford is amazing if you can get to there.
Bliss bridal an pronuptia in bolton were good and there a a shop in st helens that has quite a few plus sizes dresses i think its called always and forever. I got my dress from creation in wigan they stock sonsie and had quite a few plus size dresses to try on.

I had the same problem (Im a size 18-20)and on a slimming world and excerising to be a size 12 for my big day next sept.I went to always and forever in st.helens, its fantastic a good range of plus size dresses and the 2 women who own it r lovely

Bride be Lovely in city centre Manchester have AMAZING dresses. I found my dream dress in there and I am a high street 18/20.
The staff are fantastic too!!!

I bought my dress a few weeks ago from Stell's Bridal in Didsbury. The shop is closing due to retirement and she has brand new sample dresses up to a size 30. I bought a beautiful Sonsie dress for £425 instead of £1,000 so I added the marching bolero for £30. Check out her website to see what dresses/sizes are left. Good luck

I've just contacted Stella and have an appointment for next Friday - thanks for mentioning her, Im hoping I find my perfect dress!

Does she have many in the sale as my dress budget isnt huge!

I just wanted to thank the lady who recommended Stellas - I have found my dream dress!! And the owner is lovely, if not a little scatty lol. She has a large range of sizes and styles so suitable for most women. My dress was in the sale and was reduced from a rrp of £1100 to £375!! I couldnt believe the price as the dress is emaculate and you can tell its been very well made. Im so excited and just can not wait to wear it - think I may very possibly never take it off!!

I got my gorgeous Sonsie dress from Stella too, i was dreading going shopping and none of the samples fitting me but i had a fab day and am soooo excited to wear it now, still want to lose a bit pre wedding but even if i don't and i do say so myself, i look blimmin lovely in it!!
