Very tall h2b

I was adamant that I would NEVER fall in love with someone lots taller than me, but unfortunately it turns out you can't decide!

So, I am (almost) 5 ft 0. h2b is 6 ft 5.

It's a big difference and I'm worried that it would look bad in photos with a bad photographer. Does anyone know of photographers that have worked with big height differences?

I have a tall h2b too but we have just asked the photographer to be aware of the height difference. I've recently been taking note of a few things at other people's weddings though, which might help put your mind at ease...

Many key shots of the first part of the day (getting ready, entering the ceremony etc) will be you on your own anyway, it's not all couple shots.

Photos usually aren't allowed during the ceremony, and the ones taken of the couple 'signing the register' afterwards often seem to be taken with the couple seated, so the height difference won't be noticeable.

If your reception is in a different place you can get some great shots of you in the car leaving the ceremony, on route and arriving at the reception.

Photos taken at the wedding breakfast are always lovely, with both of you seated and then when he gives his speech, with you seated & him standing (and then the other way around if you are being modern and giving a speech).

Another idea is you could get him to pick you up and twirl you round as part of your wedding dance - will probably make people smile and be a great photo op (if you specifically ask the photographer to capture that moment so they don't miss it)!

Aside from that, I am a big fan of platform shoes - you can get away with an even higher heel than normal but still be comfy.

And the thing is that you were attracted to each other's height so celebrate it! You probably look super cute leaning up/down to kiss each other...

Not quite the same but my mum is 5 ft 2 and my dad is 6 ft 4 and it doesn't look bad, I have another friend that is way taller than his girlfriend and I think they look cute.

I am actually a bit jealous, I always liked the idea of being a bit smaller than my h2b, he is 6 ft 3 and in heels I am 6 ft 2 and I feel a bit of a giant

I'm 5ft and my h2b is 6ft 4.
I was worried about all the photo's looking like I'm sitting down!

I suck when it comes to feet, but the hubs is a good 30cm taller than I am. I reach his chest/shoulders

We had no problem, and in fact have some lovely couple's pictures

we have a picture with his cousins, aged 11, 11 and 13, and they are ALL taller than I am

H2B is over a foot taller than me as well. I'm wearing 4 inch heels, but I'll still be teeny. Having my hair half up/down with a tiara. Thinking of having the up bit with a bit of volume to add a bit of height (without going for a scary Marge Simpson do). May try and find places on a slope for photos, so I can stand further up.

I have been thinking about this too....I am 5 ft and my hubby to be is 6ft 3 so there is quite a big difference with us!! I am just going to make the photographer aware (when we get that far as only recently got enaged!!)Try not to worry about it...I love that he is taller than me and I'm sure you will be able to get some beautiful shots despite this!!

Thanks everyone! I'm so glad I'm not the only one in this boat! I've booked a photographer now (Richard Ford) and he's really nice, and has made me feel at ease about it all. I guess we could make a nice joke out of it, like standing on a yellow pages...

Im the same - My H2B is just shy of 6ft, and Im 5ft. I don't tend to notice the height difference until I see ourselves in photos or in the mirror!

We met with our photographer before we booked him, and we are taking him to our venue a few weeks before as he hasn't been there before - so hopefully he can give us some advice with the photos.

I think its quite normal to see a petite woman with a tall guy and it doesn't look too odd and people are used to it (i hope) - Did you see kim Kardashian with her recent fella - he was hugeeeeeeeeeeee!

I was going to say you could have a lovely pic of you recreating the yellow pages ad with your hands behind your back etc, but I didn't want to seem patronising, so I'm glad yo usaid it first!
