Subject: REALLY BROODY, but wedding fast approaching!!
I don't really think there's an answer to my thread, just wanted to vent...
I'm a mum of 2 boys, nearly 4 and nearly 2. Both however were "happy accidents" and I've never had this broody feeling before so I'm finding it a little difficult to know what to do about it. It's really bad. I don't think there's been a single day in the last 2 weeks I havent thought about being pregnant, looked at baby clothes, pushchairs, thought of baby names, looked on this forum, anything to do with babies in general really!
Me and hubby to be have spoken about wanting more babies, his attitude is just "lets do it!", which I'd love to, but I've got jiminy cricket on my shoulder telling me to wait til after the wedding, I wouldnt fit in my dress if i was too far gone, don't like the thought of morning sickness on my big day, being preggo for my hen do, etc etc. BUT the other side of the coin, we've got 2 winter babies, jan 1st and feb 6th, it would be nice to have a summer baby this time, and working out dates etc, I's have to concieve between now and feb at the lastest really.
I know I'm waffling on, I just needed to get this off my chest to someone impartial. All my family would laugh and say I'm being silly and got enough on my plate as it is without being pregnant, half my friends agree, but a small minority are egging me on. AGH!!
That feels a bit better now...

If you really want a baby, and could cope with being pregnant at the wedding then why not?!

When's the wedding? Bearing in mind that it could take you a while to conceive you may not even be that far gone.

We got married last July and always intended to try after the wedding but then I was so broody I convinced hubby to start trying in June (and then May, and then April...) After all, it's only one month more right? And we probably wouldn't fall on our first attempt surely? I was 14 weeks pregnant at our wedding, after yes, the first attempt!

I still had a fantastic hen night and I'm not a huge drinker anyway so I didn't mind that but at the end of the day it's entirely your decision. I did have to get a new dress which was the only downside but I hadn't spent a huge amount on my first dress anyway and got the one I wore on the day second hand from a lovely lady on here

Good luck on whatever you decide x

Thank you for replying. Had your body changed shape that much by 14 weeks? I was hoping that maybe if I was only a couple weeks gone by the time we get hitched, I wont've grown that much. My dress was £1000, so I'm not in any hurry to buy a new one, lol. With my other 2 babies I know exactly when I conceived because they were the only 2 times we weren't careful. So I know it would probably be straight away. Ggggrrr, decisions decisions!!!!

My bust had grown a lot by 14 weeks and I expanded a little bit around my waist, when is the wedding?
I really wouldn't have had the same experience at my wedding if I had been pregnant, just because of the tiredness factor I think and the sickness I went through. But you have been pregnant twice before so know how it has affected you.
I came off the pill on honeymoon and it took 5 months to conceive

i was in the same boat as you but i have 3 children 8,6 and 5 all happy accidents too and i had never felt broody before! we knew we wanted to try after the wedding in august so i had my implant removed a month before figuring it would take a while for my body to get back to normal...im now 12+4 weeks im glad i had my implant removed when i did .... as any sooner and i would have been too bog for my dress i have gone up 3 cup sizes and i have a bump that i cant hide anymore but this is baby number 4 so i was going to show sooner anyway.... so why not plan to start trying a month before the wedding and then if you do fall first try you will only be a few weeks xx

Oh congratualtions!! How lovely for you!! Both my previous pregnancies were so different. On my first I seemed to balloon almost instantly!! I put on about 5 stone in total, massive. Howver on my second I suffered such bad sickness I couldnt even keep water down, therefore lost 3 dress sizes. I was smaller at 6 months pregnant than I am now. Although I was sick all the time, I didnt feel ill from it. It was just one of those things, I knew if I ate I'd throw up. Odd I know. Anyway, so I really wouldnt know what to expect on the next one! Scary!! xxx

MrsVowles2Be i feel the same! we're getting married in june, n i feel like at the min all i think about is having a baby! but like you, i worry about the dress, the hen party etc! also, the problem for me is the weightloss, i know really i should try and lose weight before we start trying, i've ballooned since i first had the implanon put in, so thinking about getting that taken out and just 'practising' for a bit!

I know just how you feel in regards to the wedding being soon, at least you havent got too long until the day. We've been trying since middle of january but our wedding is 29th sept, if anyone other than us knew what we were doing, they'd think we're being ridiculous. I'm stuck in the sense of do i carry on seeing as if i conceive now, i'll only have to put the wedding back a month or so (as i too have a expensive dress and no way want another or be able to fit into it by that point) but if i dont conceive within the next month then we'll have to stop until about 2/3 months before the wedding so i can still fit in my dress otherwise i'll end up being due in nov/dec time and i can see the wedding date going further into 2013!
