Irish brides

Is anyone over here planning a wedding in Ireland? I m getting married in Ireland next June and just wanted to know how u found it?

hi i live in hertfordshire and currently planning a wedding in derry, N.I.
It hasnt been too bad so far as i got my venue as a package, so flowers, car, cake etc all included. It did include my photographer til he messed us around and double booked so we found a new one it was tricky tho as i had 2do it all online and over the fone but my new photographer seems lovely wud just like 2meet him before the day even though he has met my sister an mum.
I also havent heard my band either :s have to admit thats one thing im worried about but the recommendation came from a radio dj who is a family friend so fingers crossed they're ok! They did do their best 2try get me 2a wedding to c them but they werent playin wen i was at home
The only other problem ive come across is my bridesmaids!! lol ive gone with my 2sisters one of which is in her 2nd yr in newcastle and the other is a 1st yr at newcastle so goin dress shopping is hard! lol im actually travelling up 2newcastle on friday as its the only way we can get it sorted as im a teacher and they both study and work!

basically it hasnt been 2bad so far most of the bits that went wrong wud have happened if i was there or not! as for the bridesmaids i reckon i could live in the same house as them and we'd still never agree on a date an time to shop! lol i think as it gets closer to fittings and things it might get more difficult as ive bought my dress in derry but everythings only an hr away!

hey my band is the hitmen! they have been lovely over the phone but i am a tad worried as they didnt want a deposit! :S dont think thats the norm for bands! I had been looking for hard 2handle but funnily enuf by the time i tracked down their number a girl called kelly had booked them for my date! lol

I havent heard of them but i will keep an eye for them and let you know

I'm having the hitmen too, seriously, you have nothing to worry about. I've been to see them playing at weddings a few times now and they are 100%. I'm getting married in a few weeks so will let you know how it goes, they won't take a deposit off me either, you just square them up on the night!
