Hi Annabel! I really want to do something unique with my dessert, rather than have a classic three tiers of fruitcake or a cakestand of cupcakes. Are there any new ideas out there my guests may not have seen before? Also, I LOVE the photography you feature on your site. How can I be sure my photographer gets all those snaps of the touches we've been putting so much time into? THANK YOU!!!!!!

Hi Annabel,

Love your site and follow you avidly! We are having a "vintage glamour" themed wedding because I can't decide on ONE decade (although I adore the 30s) Can you give any decor advice on bits we can do to make it look good? At the moment we are just having classic black and white with candelabras draped with pearls and tables named after vintage glamour stars.

Also simply cannot choose between a Jenny Packham long gown or a short 50's one with birdcage veil. Can someone wear two dresses on their wedding day?! Short or long?! HELP! xx

Hi Annabel!

I'm having my wedding ceremony and reception all in one place, but some people I had pegged as evening guests have expressed a desire to see the ceremony too. We can't afford to have everyone for the meal and it will be awkward to chuck a handful of people out after the ceremony and invite them back for the evening. How would you suggest handling this?

Annabel is the queen of style so I'm very excited to ask her 2 questions - hope that's allowed!

1. can 'style' and 'hen do' coexist? I'm dreading what the girls might plan for me having been to lots of hen parties...what sort of things would you suggest for someone that doesn't want the traditional 'L' plates and cheesy nightclub?!

2. how can I stay true to my personal style on my wedding day whilst also looking bridal? I'm not usually a dress kind of girl so am worried I won't look like 'me' on my wedding day.

Thank you!

Hi Annabel,

I am starting on the hunt for 'The Dress'. The only problem I am having is that I am a plus size girl and most of the shop sample are a 10-12!

How do I handle the trauma of paying hundres of pounds for something i might never have actually tried on???

Hello Shabbychicbride - good question!

I struggled for weeks over who to invite to our wedding, it is such a tough call and believe me you are not alone!

Weddings can end up costing a small fortune on every level and the addition of just one additional guest can lead to £££s more being required from your budget. So there is a degree of sensibility requried here. I also really think the guest list issue is one you have to go with your heart on - try to listen to your gut instinct on this one - this is what I ended up doing, I went with what I felt was a fair and also sensible (taking my budget into account) way forward and politely just thanked anyone else who was trying to give me advice! {yes, Mum and family included!}.

True friends will understand that you can't possibly have every one you'd probably desire to be in attendance on the day but if you really do want to be able to accommodate an extra few for the ceremony and meal, then perhaps reassess your budget and work out where you can save in other areas {I spent too much on favours for instance - a couple of which got left behind in the end!}.

Try not to get too bogged down with the guest list issue.

Make a decision that works for you and your Husband to be, and stick to it.

Remember that everyone will be able to share in the day afterwards anyway through the photographs you share.

xXx

Hi Annabel,

So cool that your on here! Right then, I'm after a vintage style dress - any suggestions on where best to go? I don't have a massive budget for this and am prepared to pay around £500.

Hope that's not unreasonable!
Thanks
