Wine Woman! Happy New Year!!! Did you have a nice Christmas?! Hope so. It's
really difficult to get back into the swing of things with no dress to aim to be looking perfect for (i keep thinking of what i would have been up to this time 12 months ago!)... But OMG i am in AWE of what you are setting yourself up for! That's amazing! And not really that far away either! You will have to chamge your name to Wonder Woman! Your diary looks really impressive to! You put me to shame the way i've been eating lately! Did you manage to be good food-wise over the festive period then?!

Hey missy!

Christmas was ok; things are still difficult with hubby so that has kind of put a dampener on everything recently. But that's just how things are at the moment so there's no point in wallowing in it. I most certainly was NOT good food-wise and was even less good with the booze! Had a very lovely but extremely boozy boxing day with my family though, and some great pressies including new ghds & lots of gorgeous undies....So after all the booze I felt I needed a mega-challenge to pull me out of a rut and get me moving again this year. No point in being fat & unhealthy as well as down in the dumps! How about yours? Hope you had a great time. Any new year resolutions/goals? This year I am aiming to: do my 100k challenge; refresh my french (maybe an online course, not sure) get a few articles accepted for publication, and, of course, get back to wedding weight!

Yesterday was hubby's birthday so there were a few cheeky treats in the evening but we're mainly celebrating on Saturday (going out for sushi, yum) so not too bad.

Weds:

B- 2 toast & marmite

L- homemade carrot & coriander soup

S- clementine, apple

D- tomato & basil pasta, portion garlic bread

D- 2.5l water, 4 cups tea, 1 bottle strawberry rekorderlig

E- none

Thurs:

B- toasted bagel & marmite

L- bagel with low-fat soft cheese & smoked salmon (last of the xmas food being used up!)

S- apple

D- stirfry prawns & veg in black bean sauce

D- 2l water, 5 cups tea

E- 50mins running on treadmill, 20mins walk

Hey Wine Woman!

Sorry to hear you're still having a bit of a difficult time, I really hope it passes for you both soon but I can imagine it must be difficult not to let it all get you down. I did think about you over the hols. Keep your chin up though, your goals for these year are really impressive and show just how strong and determined you are! Your boxing day sounds fab too! We had a lovely time thank you, spent the whole time between mine and hubby's parent's houses - they only live about 15 mins apart so it was ideal in terms of been able to meet up with family and friends too. From 21st Dec - 1st Jan i only had to work 2 days which was absolutely amazing! Am really struggling to get back into the swing of things as a result now though! It's a struggle to roll out of bed in the mornings!

Goals for 2012: get back into shape - and get healthy, continue saving towards a house deposit (although at this rate we're probably about 10 years off!!!), and perhaps seek a change of direction with work. I love that you want to get some of your articles Published! How do you go about that?

Ok, diary time. If i don't speak to you befOre hand hope you both have a lovely time saturday night.xx

Thursday:
Porridge with semi skimmed milk & hot water
S- 1 clementine, 1 banana
L- broccoli & stilton soup
S- 1 quality street, 2 clementines
E- 60 min zumba class - was fab!
S- handful grapes
D- chicken & veg stirfry with noodles and sezjuan & soy sauce
D- 3L water, 6 cups tea

S- 1 lindor choc,
CorieLeigh

I'd like to lose a stone (by August), but I'd really like to do it by April when I have my first wedding dress fitting.

Christmas really got me hooked on sweets though, and a few weeks away from the gym makes the thought of it hell!

I need a diet overhaul and some motivation I think...

Any advice of foods that are good to stick to? and exercises that'll help get me in shape, without braving the cold to go running!

Hey CorieLeigh, welcome! This time last year i was in your position - wanting to lose weight and tone up before my dress fitting (which was actually in feb, come to think about it!), and our wedding day in june!
First thing i'd say is set yourself a realistic and achievable goal for april. I find keeping a food and excercise diary on here every day really helpful as it really makes me think about what i eat and making an effort to get my 5 a day in, and also really chuffed when i've got my exercise done! I am trying to get back now after been really bad all last month, but i used this thread pretty much throughout my engagement, my wedding and beyond and it's really helped me (even though rather annoyingly i put on some weight after the wedding). The key is being realistic otherwise if i cut cals too dramaticly for example, i just won't stick to it! Have you tried any exercise classes? I went to zumba for the first time last night, it was fab!

Joined a new gym today! Loads more room and equipment amd cheaper than the last one! Win win!

Friday:
B- branflakes & skimmed milk
S- green grapes, apple
L- bacon & soft cheese bagel, nicked a few chips too, ooops, orange juice
S- toffee penny
E- 20 mins cross trainer, 25 mins treadmill 'hill' run, 20 mins resistance
D- chicken en crut, new pots, peas.
S- 2 lindor chocs (again!)
D- 3L water 6 cups tea

Have a nice weekend!
