Im not doing favours

I think that
1. the fact they are having a meal paid for them &
2. they have the pleasure of being a guest & sharing the most important day of your life with you is enough of a favour!

It's an extra expense that brides on a budget shouldn't have to worry about
It's a very American thing - i didn't even know what favours were until a couple years ago, plus of all the weddings i've been to I couldn't even tell you what their favours were. People dont tend to notice them therefore i'm not bothering

No - we aren't bothering! I just see it as an extra expense that is a bit silly really, I couldn't tell you what any of the favours were for any wedding I ever attended. For me, it is all about the day itself, that is what I remember!

It's also such an American thing that has somehow made it's way over here, if a asked half of the older member of my family what favours are they wouldn't have a clue!

Don't worry about such small details, just enjoy your day my lovely!

Forget about such minor details & just enjoy your big day my lovely! xx

Oops somehow managed to post that twice, sorry!

I agree with the other B2B's, they're definitely not a requirement and a lot of people will probably leave them on the tables anyway (not that there's anything wrong with people having them if that's what they want of course!).

Totally agree with everyone else. Favours are a very strange idea that have made their way over here from the US. I mean, where's the point? Does anyone really want any of that stuff? All it does is add to the financial strain of planning a wedding.

At the end of every wedding I've ever been to there have been a pile of favours just left on the tables. Unless you really want them, I wouldn't bother

We're not doing favors either, who the hell wants/needs a bag if sugared almonds! Total waste and too twee for me. Although......(!!) as most of our guests are coming for the weekend to Cornwall for wedding we're going to put a small bag of local fudge in everyone's hotel rooms with a card detailing timings and info for the weekend. As they're nut categorised as favours we'll only be spending about £30 in total. Hopefully people will have time to appreciate the small touch more in advance of the day and actually eat it!

I've spent 6squid on bags of foil love heart shaped chocolates. Each guest gets a loveheart...my guests can like it or lump it, I spent 6squid so I'm happy!
