I know that traditionally you don't kiss in a C of E ceremony but has anyone been allowed to do this or seen anyone do it?
Just wondering before I bring it up with our vicar. If it's a major no no I wouldn't want to offend.

I've never heard of it not being the done thing in a CofE wedding. We are getting wed in Orsett church (see my sig), and we go to our all-day meeting next week. I will ask then - but I'd be very surprised if it was not the norm.

I'd never heard of it not being done but most vicars now are so welcoming i'm sure they would let you!

I think you'll find that most vicars (even the older ones) are now quite modern in the way they run their churches and I don't think kissing will be a problem at all. Our vicar is very laid back and in fact told us a few risque jokes in the lead up to our wedding!!!!
