Subject: Stationery
Hello,

I'm finally at the point of looking for stationery for our invites. I'm not sure what a big stationery budget would look like so I'm trying to get a variety of prices to see what exactly we can afford (the one think I'm certain on is that I/ we don't have time to make our own!).

I'd be curious to know where you have all had your stationery designed? The stationers that I have really liked from blogs have tended to be US-based, with very few UK-based (other than Hello Lucky who I came across a couple months back).

Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks xx

If you like Hello Lucky then you'll love Arcadia http://www.artcadia.co.uk/ also for a more vintage look http://www.lucyledger.com/ or
http://www.mooksdesign.co.uk/
http://www.biplanepress.com/

For something colourful http://www.ditsychic.com/ and http://www.yieldink.co.uk/

Hope that helps!

Hi
I am using Hello Lucky - I love their stuff but they haven't been the fastest on delivery (We're past the ETA now and still no invitations, although I'm sure they will be lovely when they do arrive).

I saw some Cutture stationery at the Designer Wedding Show and their stuff is stunning.

I do agree that it's hard to find UK stuff - I had to restrain myself from getting some Bella Figura invitations from the US as I jut love them! If you don't mind ordering from abroad, some other US companies that are lovely are Ceci New York, Wiley Valentine, Lucky Luxe and Mika78.

Choosing the stationery is such a fun task - although I am a bit of a stationery obsessive!

there was a thread on here probably two weeks ago about how much people were spending on their stationary, can;t remember how much detail they went into but it think it was on planning if that helps. im making my own-i'm an artist, why would i let someone else do it???

but if you find an artists you like they will often do a commission. i love this bloke and he'e really nice and friendly but depends what you style is

(this is not me and i don't know him well enough to be promoting him, i genuinely love his work and he'l do stationary to commission to you know no one else will have stationary like yours)

We used Hello Lucky - their stuff is fab, and the people are so nice. I was lucky that one of my mum's old friends is an artist and she agreed to create a 'local' version of the 'Visit London' design I liked. I think Hello Lucky wanted £500 to do bespoke artwork specific to our area/venue so that was a good saving (but I was so in love with the design I would have paid if I'd had to). We got 60 invites, 60 RSVP cards and addressed reply envelopes - we didn't have any inserts (I set up a wedding website with all the info on and just put a web address on the invite itself, I loathe inserts all falling out everywhere and wanted to avoid them). I can't remember how much we paid but it wasn't a silly amount (maybe £200??) We had just bog standard thank you cards from there with no printing or anything on them, they were really nice and we got a big box full so we still have some left which comes in handy from time to time!

Hi, I'm a sucker for letterpress and US led the way when it came to design. We used Lucky Luxe for our save the dates and invites, they also do a fab print at home service for most of their collection..just be warned they come in US paper sizes. For the UK try artcadia,
Blush letterpress http://www.blog.blushpublishing.co.uk/tag/wedding-stationery/
Dottie Creations http://www.trulymadlydottieblog.com/category/stationery/

I attended the Niermierko Wedding Academy and I was luckily enough to get a sneak preview of Paul Antonio (calligrapher)bespoke invites, they are stunning. I really think its worth investing in good stationery as it sets the tone of the occasion, check out my blog for more inspiration.x

We used Momental in the US - i would highly recommend them - think it worked out to about £6.50 per invite (including inserts, envelopes etc etc etc) but that was 3 years ago

I also think Ceci in New York is amazing - real works of art

in the UK I really like Intricate Creations - lovely people too

oh and I would second Paul Antonio - lovely guy - I believe he is launching his invites at the Designer Wedding Fair next week

I'm having mine done at Mount Street Printers. They printed our engagement invites, and will now print 2 set of wedding and blessing invites. Sheena has been fantastic despite my not knowing what I want...
