Subject: Live in London, wedding in a church in Wales?
Hi,

Need some help please. My step father (divorced from my mum now) owns a farm in Wales and it's gorgeous and he has said we can have our reception there, which would be great saving on money which is a big thing for us. But I am confused as my OH and I both want a church ceremony. He is not a legal parent so don't meet the criteria on that. I am going to contact the church but was looking for a heads up and whether anyone had any advice or help for me.
Is it likely that this could be possible?

You've doubtless already seen this link (http://www.yourchurchwedding.org/youre-welcome/more-churches-to-choose-from.aspx), but I cannot see why a step parent's parish would not be allowed. Ultimately, it is all up to the individual incumbent. The sentence "Even if you cannot demonstrate any of the above connections, we want to help you explore whether it may still be possible for you to marry in your special church." is probably most applicable for you.
