hi mrsmcdowll2b
im 29 from lancashire
i got quite upset the other week
once you tell your family your getting married they kind of got carried away telling me this telling me that - I was having phone calls at 1000pm telling my the MIL has found another venue!!
So after getting upset about costs and what people expect - I kind of lost the whole its me and H2B getting married not any one else
Were simple people who donât like fuss my H2B is spoiled by his mum and me.
Heâs too fussy with foods, both our families are not posh (my parents are separated another nightmare when it comes to wedding planning) and we like traditional home cooked food not a la carte 3 course meals
Its only when I spoke to my photographer about my worries that she suggested the venue and I was glad of the helpful advise she gave me when looking at venues.
Sept wedding canât rely on weather so make sure your venue is well light bright for photos they are the memory after all!
I went and viewed it on Saturday and knew straight away I wanted my wedding there, our appointment was with the proprietorâs assistant so she noted everything I said all my worries and this Friday we go and pay a deposit.
Ive not told the MIL yet!!!!!
But once its finally booked I can stop worrying about where it will be and start looking forward to planning the day!
Weve decided on an afternoon 16.00pm civil wedding at this place the room will then be changed for food and disco.
Were serving bacon/sausage barms hot pie and peas and wedding cake of course!!
I donât want to spend a fortune on £ cost per person per head for food id rather spend more money on my memories rings, photographs, dress and the disco â ive booked a wedding singer!!
So tell me more about yours!! The MIL suggested a castle in Lake Windermere â I cringed trying to imagine all my family on a coach for the day!!!
