Subject: Nosy Question! What's your wedding abroad budget?
Hi there, as I said in the heading I know it's nosy but I'm planning on getting married abroad as its so much cheaper and much less fuss than a wedding here..... I'm hoping to keep it low as in 4 grand for the holiday and wedding and then more added on for dress, rings, and some extras! Do u think it's possible to do this on about 6 grand? I hope so lol x

We are in the same situation, and looking also for the same budget, about £3.5k - £4k for the Holiday and wedding package, then £1k for Dress for me and my little girl and also accessories, etc.
Then about £1k for the party when we get home.

I believe this is do able....may be a different story when I try and book it all tho!

That's good I'm not the only one, I was beginning to think I was being a bit unrealistic! We're not paying extra for a reception when we're on holiday, just the usual all inclusive meals In our Hotel and chill by the bar afterwards. So that shoud keep costs down by about €40 a head!!

The cost of ours I think will be around £10k. This is for about 60 adults and our meal is €120 a head.
Will be a lot less than a wedding here!! That doesn't include my dress as I haven't bought it yet but will probably be about £1000. We've decided to not spend money on favours and little details and go for more food and drink! Half our guests are Irish so hopefully will appreciate it!

Our final budget has come in at abuot £9000. This is including the 2 week holiday, spending money, reception with pretty much open bar for 40people, and I have budgeted £1000 for a party when we get back. I think you would be able to do it all for about £6000, how many guests are you having? I have a budget spreadsheet if you would like me to send it to you and see how much everything has cost.

It all depends on how many people you invite, ours is coming in about £10k including our holiday/flights, all outfits, free bar, sit down meal for approx 45 people

So far we have the wedding package arranged (ceremony cars flowers cake reception) are taking 20 people with us and its come to 3900 without our travel costs.

factoring in the hotel transfers and flights 3200
documentation for the town hall etc 360

roughly £7,500 and then we are having a reception for everyone else when we get back and are managing to do it on about £1k budget

so totalling £8,500

not bad considering the average cost of a wedding over here now is £20k

Ours was about 10k, but that included everything - holiday for 3 of us with spending money, registrar fees, wedding ceremony, reception and bar for 22 people, Greek dancers, open top bus tour! Photographers in England and cyprus including storybook album, big party when we got home with photo booth, dress, rings, brodesmaid dresses, bought men's suits - we were a little extravagant!! I think we could easily have done it for half the cost, but it cost miles less than the uk so we just did as we pleased x

I was hoping for 5-6k but it's nearer 10k now but that includes the ceremony, and reception for 38 people, holiday, dress, suits etc. we are cutting out a lot of things like flowers, cake, favours, but spending more on food, drinks and photos as they're more important to us x
