Subject: models Vs Real Life Brides *Pics*
This is just an idea...maybe it will be a good thread, maybe not - but worth a try.

I've noticed (my opinion) that a lot of wedding dresses look really different (and so much better) on real brides than the models used on the designers websites. Shall we post 1 pic of us in the dress next to 1 pic of the model and just prove that us real brides look better in the dress?

I'm not having this dress now but this WAS mine...

I know what you mean, I've been looking on ebay at used dresses and at least you can see what the bride looked like on the day!

I'm a curvy 18 and 5 feet 6. I'm never going to look the same as a size 10 5 feet 10 model!!!

Hi Nikki- Lou

You look lovely. The models you see have the perfect lighting on them, neutral background, most have been spray tanned and to top it all they've had the hair styled by some top stylist. Its not real!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best brides are the ones who are getting married to the man of their dreams and not posing for photos!

Good idea, although I'm crap and will just have to post links!

Oldbird, I think the La Sposa/San Patrick models are sooo awful - they're airbrushed so much they actually look like mannequins!

Why do models/photographers insist on airbrushing pics? Don't they realise we know it's not real life!!!

hello :\)
i'm liking the idea of this thread! have seen to many picturs of models (that most of the time don't look anything like brides coz they either are too done with too much make up, jewellery and airbrushing or look like they havent bothered at all and got dragged through a hedge backwards!
this was a dress that i really liked in the shop but didnt end up buying. just thought it would be good for comparison:

Wow I love Rachealafry - Ur dress is so nice! I really like it (and obv looks better on u)

OldBird - u have a way better figure than the model!!

JF-2-B ur piccie is tiny but I bet it still looks better than the model pic!

I dont get it, why dont designers use real brides in their pics?
