Subject: Wedding Dress Cleaning & Boxes - Help Please!
Hello,

I thought seeing as it's been nearly 4yrs since we got married I should get my dress cleaned and boxed. I remember someone saying that there was a company that will courier your dress to and from your address, clean it and put it in a box with a perspex lid with your tiara and veil - am I making this up or can someone tell me who I'm thinking of?!

Thanks,
Louise

Hi There... There is a company called GownClean they are a wedding dress cleaning company that specialise in cleaning and boxing. They collect and deliver in the UK with an insured courier. The boxes are not plastic tho. They are milled PH neutral card (Heavy) and have a decorative covering and a silk bow. They are amazing!! You should unpack the dress every two years so that no permanent creases appear in the folded fabric.
here is their web address http://www.weddingdresscleaning-gownclean.com

I hope this helps

Try Terrington Berchett. wedding dress manufacturers use them and have seen on here that they have an excellent reputation. I've saved less link ready to send my dress in November!!!

Hi we had a dry cleaners for 30 years and we would tell our brides to buy a cheap plastic suit case to put the dress in. You need acid free tissue paper to protect the dress and the suitcase is stronger than the wedding dress boxes as they are cardboard. Check your wedding dress as some are washable, if it is washable you can take it to the cleaners for a press only.
