Subject: Clip in Hair Extensions - Which are best?
I currently have shoulder length mousey brown hair which I am trying to grow for my wedding in August 2012. However I want quite a big up do and my hair dresser has suggested that in order to do what I want I will need extensions.

I have had bonded extensions before and they were great, but I have been warned against them for my wedding as I will have lots of heated appliances on my hair and this will melt the bonds. My hairdresser has recommended that I get clip ins but I dont have the first clue about them.

Are there particular brands which are better than others?

So far I can see that the beauty works ones are endorsed by lots of celebrities and are really expensive (suggesting that they may be better than other brands) but I have not heard of any personal recommendations about them.

Thanks

The ones by Lauren Pope are meant to be really good & I've heard good things about them-and not meant to be as expensive as some of the other ones- she has been doing them for years.

I'm in the same position as although my hair is the length I want it-just need a bit of oomph! Have been putting of my extension search

I actually bought mine on Saturday. I just went into a specialist shop and asked for 16-18 inch extensions with the clips already attached (as advised by hairdresser), they just bought me a pack down which matched my hair colour. It was real hair, and was sort of highlighted, so matched my multi tonal hair colour perfectly. They were good quality, and the hairdresser curled them and they were fine. Easy to get in and out of my hair.

I actually dont know the make without checking, but what I mean to say is if you go in a specialist shop they will advise. my hairdresser recommended the shop, and didnt say a make mattered. They cost me £54.99 for the pack, and I had more than enough xx

I have been waiting for a thread like this! I am in the same position, haven't got a clue which ones to get!

I had a look at the Lauren Pope ones etc but I'm worried I'll get the wrong colour!

Hiya

My wedding hairdresser suggested American Dream clip in extensions which I bought from Sally's for about £55 to £60 ( sorry can't remember exact amount). I wore them for a party and they were great and styled really well. Had lots of comments on them, they feel really nice, not cheap and didn't break the bank which was a bonus

The ones that I wore were from Xtras lol. They looked really nice and cost about £60. I would never have imagined that I would have worn them from there but my friend wears them all of the time and they look fab xxx

I got mine from Halo hair too!! They match the colour if u sent a pic in and they are really good quality. You can dye them, wash them and style them and they still look lovely and shiney. Plus the clips are already on for you! I got my wedding extensions on Saturday and I love them.
