Subject: Inspiration for afro-carib weddings?!
Hi Girls,

Now, I'm not a newlywed (boo!), but realised that I never got round to writing a report on here properly. I got so much support and so many ideas from this website that I thought it's only fair to pop back and share properly.

Also, I was always keen to see weddings which might resemble my own in some way. Anyhow, I was just updating my own blog http://planningprayingplaying.blogspot.com/ and remembered that we were featured on a couple of places, so if you fancy some extra wedding %&*$#, then take a look here:

Happy wedding planning guys!!

Hi Tem Tem,

Not sure what you mean by what we used for names - do you mean the actual words...?

We used places/events that were special to us with a short description of why. We printed them on pearlised paper and stuck them into gold frames.

If you mean how did we make it - this is how..

Table Plan:
- Large gold art card from hobbycraft

- gold/blush pink damask card bought in sheets from hobbycraft. They have a nice selection of patterned card if you look very carefully... The card was also used in our save the date, invite and order of service which we handmade to match too (a labour of love!)

-we used a giant heart shaped hole puncher to make the hearts out of aforementioned patterned card

- we then printed out the table names onto pearlised card and cut them into strips

- we used a mini heart shaped hole puncher to make the mini hearts and then stuck a little pearl on each one.

- we then arranged the table names as they were set up in the room and had lists below it. On the list was everyone's name with their table name next to it.

We had usherettes (my cousins!) next to both boards to explain to people how it worked. People really seemed to like the person touch and were eager to read our story by going round to all the tables.

Hope this answers your question hun x good luck with planning!
