Subject: Honeymoon Gift Lists
Hi,

We booked our honeymoon on Friday to San Francisco, Hawaii and Las Vegas! It was booked through Kuoni.
I have a quick question - I know Kuoni have a gift list, but that is for just helping us to pay for the actual honeymoon. We wanted to create a list of activities that people can choose to pay for us to do. Does anyone know of any they can recommend? I have looked at buyourhoneymoon.com and seen one called honeyfund, I'm just not sure which to go for!
I would really appreciate it if anybody has used one and could recommend it.
Thanks!

Hi, we are thinking about doing something like this too.

One of my friends suggested www.senduspacking.com as guests can choose what they would like to put their money towards - there are many activities you can pick from and it would be something that you def want then too. The only downside is I think you have to pay for the website which is not that great but its just an idea xx

Send us packing was my favourite. you can make quite a comical gift list.
Don't forget there will be an added cost if you get an extra gift list. Do you really want to be wasting that money when you can have one with the company you have booked already. Seems a waste of money to me. These gift lists actively encorage you to just take the money rather than do the activities specified as you don't know how you will feel when you get ther. veryone knows you just need money towards the honeymoon and I don't think they begrudge you that.

I was looking at the buy or honeymoon, one and thought it was really good and only a one off fee which was reasonable.

The only thing that put me off, was that all the money was put through paypal, and paypal charge you a fee - which i know from selling on ebay, and is roughly about 10%, so say your guests give you £2k in total, then they are going to take £200ish for nothing!

I am certainly not happy with that and don't think my guests would either, especially when i was going to allocate the gifts i.e. trip here, cocktails etc... so some of the things "bought", wont actuallu be as you are giving it to another company.

Would be good to hear from companies that people have recommended

We're using Turquoise Holidays as we booked the honeymoon with them too and they've been excellent so far!

Thanks for that, it's good to hear other opinions on this. I don't like the thought of the companies taking money,so I think we'll either go with the Kuoni gift list or ask for money.

we are using turquoise and they have been fantastic. We have put back our date of honeymoon as my fella who doesn't like flying started to get stressed out and was worried the stress would ruin the wedding.
They have been great about it and are letting us move it at no extra cost.
Plus there is no charge for the gist list.

We are using buy our honeymoon for our gift list and really recommend it! The guys who run the site are really helpful and respond quickly. The paypal fee is about 3.6% but you can switch paypal off and ask for money in cards on the day.

The Bottom Drawer allows you to do activity based things and more regular gifts if you wish it's entirely up to you. Their charges are minimal too (I think they're taking about £60 from us in total regardless of how how much we get given.) So far they've been really helpful with us.

I'm looking into this just now. The Bottom Drawer looks good as I like the idea of people having a choice of giving a more conventional gift or donating to the honeymoon.

Also, just wanted to say - we're going to SF, Vegas and Hawaii too on honeymoon!
