I've just started looking at wedding dresses and was hoping to stay in the £500-£800 area as I just can't justify spending any more on a dress!
Can anyone recommend any good brands/shops in the Manchester area please?!

Have you looked on the high street? Debenhams and House of Fraser and Coast have some lovely dresses.

Hiya, don't know what she'll have left but I got mine from Stella's wedding dresses in west didsbury, she's closing down and selling all her samples, mine was only £330 x

Beverley Wedgewood have some nice dresses around the £600 mark (I think one of the desigers is Romantica of Devon, but all the designers are listed on their website so you can have a look at dresses before you go).
I ended up falling in love with one which cost £900 (typical) and was one of the most expensive I tried on.
They also got me to try dresses from the sale rail first in case I liked one and it fitted (all ex samples), and they were in the £200-£300 range.

Hi i got mine from Brides of Rochdale, they have a sale on at the minute. Mine was half price at a bargain £540
