Very happy! Saved a bunch and got a lovely wedding ring.

I got a refund from a design company and started looking around for a normal band rather than a shaped band due to the trouble i'd had, and found that one of the high street jewellers had EXACTLY what i wanted and had been asking for for the last 2 months.

Not only that, twice as many diamonds for the half the price of the one i was getting designed, it looks so nice against my engagement ring and fits perfectly against it too! Then h2b saw a fb friend selling a £200 gift card for said jewellers for £150 so we bought that, discovered it actually had £225 (the full price of the ring i wanted) on it so £225 wedding ring for £150, already saved £375 finding that one and the ring company kindly giving me a full refund.

Then i go on the high street jewellers website to see they have put my ring up another £50 the day after i paid for it and sent it off to be sized.

So effectively now saving £425

On my little excel spreadsheet it made me feel very happy going down, especially after a string of issues with all sorts, i feel like it's my turn for a bit of luck. 7 days until i have my lovely wedding ring in my bedside draw all ready for August

I just wanted to share some things happen for a reason i guess! Even if they are little teeny things.

Can I ask where your ring was from? I was trhinking of getting mine designed as my ring is stepped along the band, but if I can find something pretty that would be great.

Also love how much you saved. My photographer was £25 below budget which is nothing in comparison to how much you saved, but I too enjoyed the reduction on the spreadhsheet and that £25 will pay for my flowergirls flower-wand!

Oh dear my story is kind of opposite and I don't know if it's worth complaining.
We bought my engagement ring on 31st December from a high street jeweller. I've just been on the website to look at wedding bands and it is now £200 cheaper, its not on sale it just looks like this is the price. Plus I wanted the bigger diamond (this sounds v selfish but honestly if you had a choice who wouldn't want a bigger diamond!)but it was out of our budget, anyway this is now also reduced and would have been in budget. Grr so annoyed.
ps I love my ring I'm just getting a bit sick of being shafted by suppliers because I mentioned the w word!
