hiya, I am not getting married until April 2014,so ave not booked anything yet, but I think we know what we would like. I have just read a thread in which people have managed to get there whole wedding under 6k - have a minimum of 130 day guests coming (no that can't be changed ) and then prob another 100 later on - how have you all managed to get such fantastic deals with venues etc, what s the armour I need to go into battle ( negotiations) with? What are your requirements? You can get some good all-inclusive deals with hotels and I'm sure with a bit of negotiation you can get them to throw in a few extras!
There are a lot of community hall type places around London which can be hired very cheaply and then you arrange your own catering. This will be more work as you will have to do a lot of your own decoration, etc that you wouldn't with a hotel. But it might make the day more personable to you both too.
It all depends on what you like and your requirements really.
