Hello!
I'd say about 10-12 weeks before for your day guests then about 8 weeks before for your evening guests. Leave your evening guests til later incase you have any "spaces" in your day that you can fill.

Depends on your venue aswell. Ours wants the confirmed number of guests three months before so we're planning on sending ours out six months before.

Have you sent save the date cards? we're hoping to get married dec 2013 and i was thinking of sending save the dates in early 2013 then sending invites out bout oct time. You need to remember that dec is a really busy time for poeople and if you have family/friends that will need to travel and book hotels then they'll need plenty of notice as hotels get booked up quickly at that time of year!!!

You ladies are all so organised. I sent mine on Saturday so most people got them today. And I'm getting married 30th March next month. I thought traditionally 6 - 8 weeks was the standard time.
