Subject: Shoe and Hair Help Please?
Hi all,
Wonder if you could help me out?
I'm looking for some retro-y wedding shoes to go with my Dolly Couture dress. I either want some white satin peep-toes or some white t-bar shoes. I'm not having much joy finding exactly what I want. For the peep toes I want a authentic 40's/50's small "peep" but most shoes I find have too big a "peep". I can't find white t-bars anywhere,
Also, I'm looking for hair inspiration. I have an idea about a vintage hollywood glamour look to my hair but, again, can't find exactly what I want.

Gindi had the most amazing Emmy vintage shoes for her wedding. they're her avatar if you can track down one of her posts (i recommend her delicious wedding report)
As for hair. I had mine set in a semi fifties style - think granny style. You I liked the fact that it held it's style, was shiny but still moved. Nobody wants wedding helmet hair. You can go a lot more structured than me without compromising the movement in it.
alternatively, there were a few styles on a couple of blogs i saw

hmmm and where did i see the most amazing retro hairdresser...
here it is. I would have def gone to her if I'd have been getting married near london

edited because i've just realised that Gindi's shoes are actually T bar but for some reason they are very reminiscent.

no probs! the peep may not be quite as small as you would like still. The only shoes I can think of with a really tiny peep are some of the recent Christian Louboutins (the Mini Bout style)... and I don't think they come in white.

Hiya, just saw this thread - I am having a CA dress and Ive just ordered some shoes from Rachel Simpson - her shoes are amazing! I love Emmy ones too but WAY too expensive. These are the ones ive ordered http://www.rachelsimpsonshoes.co.uk/range.php?range=2&name_id=9&style_id=121&page=1
hope this helps - they have a small but lovely range and Rachel is lovely. They don't launch properly til Jan though so it depends when your wedding is. x
