I'm sure everyone has read one of these, books that everyone says are great, get brilliant reviews, but when you actually read them you really can't see what the fuss was all about.
I have two: The Timetraveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell.

I loved The Time Traveller's Wife, and found Cloud Atlas really interesting (hard going but once you're past the middle, it starts getting interesting!).
I hated Labyrinth - it was one of the worst books I've ever read. Like the Da Vinci Code for girls. Intellectually impaired girls! Awful! Only read it because book club chose it... urgh. Nobody in our club liked it either!

'Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell' by Susanna Clarke. H2b brought it back one day as a present- I wasn't sure about it but i'd seen good reviews so I gave it a go. God, it was hard work! Admittedly the last section was better, but not worth the long slog through tedium to get there!
I enjoyed The Time Traveller's Wife, but didn't get very far into Labyrinth. I think i'd learned from experience by then!

I loved the Time Travellers Wife, absolutely loved it. Read Cloud Atlas and thought it was clever but odd and not a favourite.
Bought the Da Vinci Code but am just not interested in reading it!

I LOVED the Time Traveller's Wife, it's one of my favourite books. I started reading the memory's keeper's daughter, got 150 pages in and just gave up. Wasn't interested at all!! Has anyone read The Lovely Bones?

I loved The Time Traveller's Wife, Labyrinth and Atonement.
I've read The Lovely Bones and it made me feel so upset. I was going through a really bad break up with my ex when I read it and it just really suited my mood at the time.
I can not for the life of me read Pride and Prejudice. In fact I can't stand any Jane Austen.
