UPDATE : Anyone thinking about a honeymoon baby??

Just wondered if anyone else was considering trying for a honeymoon baby? me and h2b have just decided we'll "have a go" lol on honeymoon and see how we get on!!

Go for it - I already have a little girl 18 months and am desperate for another but we have decided to wait until after the wedding so I can enjoy the planning and the day without being pregnant. Can't wait till the wedding night though!!

Absolutely!

Having said that, I haven't quite worked out when I'm going to come off the pill yet so I might wait until we are back from Honeymoon to come off the pill and then try straight away. It's so exciting thinking I could be pregnant by the end of this year! H2B and I have wanted to start a family for the last two or three years but we both wanted to get married first. I'm glad that once the wedding is out of the way we will still have something else to look forward to!

Im like figi16 waiting to start a family I work fulltime and my 2 sisters have 7 kids between them so my mums in no hurray for any more G Kids but h2b parents want their first G Kid and cant wait for us to marry. Good question about when to stop the pill!!

me and h2b work full time but I'm hoping to be able to do some work from home (I'm an Accountant- well training to be) and maybe go in the office 3/4 days a week- between family and h2b (who can work weekends) we should hopefully manage (perhaps child care once/twice a week- but this will be good for interaction with other children)- I'm doing final exams to qualify at the moment and kept thinking I'd wait till after but then I'll want to move jobs (to something better paid and a bigger firm) and then it wont be a good time to have a family as it will scupper promotion opportunities etc- so I guess what I'm trying to say (aside from giving my liife story/plan lol) is that there is never an ideal time so I@m going to leave it in the hands of fate ; ).

I have decided though that if we dont get lucky very quickly I might put it off again for a couple of months to avoid being huge through the whole summer- I'm not good with the heat!!

With regards the pill my SIL2b fell straight away after stopping and she's 38 never had kids before so I think it really does depend on the individual- not ideal but you can always stop sooner to get it out of your system and use other methods till you're ready!

We will be and I love the idea of concieving on honeymoon. H2B is just as keen as me and we can't wait to start trying.

hi i was going to do the same as we were getting married in june 2010 as i hvae a nearly 3 an nearly 1 year old so that woul have been a nice gap for use,i am lucky i have fell pregnant as soon as i came of the pill.but we have now decided we are gettnif married next month now so i wont be trying for a honeymoon baby as its to soon for me.both of my childrens birthdays are in feb 9 (a week apart)so have to be carefull in may/june time anyway, as dont want another in feb.lol.x

We are getting married in sept 09 but thinking about having an extra long honeymoon at christmas (with just a short break after the wedding).
we have also been thinking about the honeymoon baby (i will be nearly 35 so want to get trying as soon as possible!!) but not sure if that will affect our choice of destination. because we want to take 4/5 weeks we were thinking about India/Central/South America or somewhere like (more of a backpacking trip than a luxury honeymoon!)that but then you are looking at taking malaria tablets so we couldnt be trying while on them. Does anyone know though how long you would need to be off them before you could start trying? i have taken malarone before and found them the best by far but i seem to be coming across very varying information on this...Most of the places we want to go seem to require them!
