Wow bet thats cool! Do you have to book this far in advance? So will you get married during the day or what? Or can you do it at midnight? How does it work? I kind of hijacked this post in the wrong forum cos Im a 2010 bird

You cant get married in England past 6 i think! Scotland it is allowed later though

I would love a NYE wedding, but am worried that if we didnt invite partners people would be put off, plus alot of places stop at 12

We are going to get married at 4pm or there abouts, we are looking at venues in the next month or two. Have found two lovely places that are available for that date. They will stay open untill 1.30am. I so cant wait, im going to my first wedding fayre at the NEC on March 14th Anyone else going?.

Hi we too are looking to marry on NYE 2011

we have started to look for venues and have already had more no's than yes's, did have one place who seemed really happy to be hired and was a beautiful pplace till they said it had to be music off and carriages ordered and guests left by 11.30pm, said a previous NYE wedding party had arranged for a large clock and brought in the new yr an hour early......kinda felt that was defeating the object lol

Are you getting married at the venue too? We are and perhaps its because we are there all day and would be spending alot of money maybe? Other places we looked at said you could pay additional £100 to keep it open till 1am.

Hi I am also getting married on NYE 2011, not long now. Is anyone else having trouble with flowers and florist deliveries due to the days NYE is falling on?

Been told the quality of the flowers may not be good.
