Hi! I'm getting married 22.10.10

We were looking for a summer date, but fell in love with the venue & this was the only weekend they had left in 2010. Now I'm really pleased we are having an October wedding.

So far just have the venue booked; we are having the ceremony & reception at the same place. Also looking at photographers this weekend.

xx

Well we always wanted a winter wedding because people who get married in Summer are always so upset when it rains or anything, so we thought why not plan for rain and cold, if it's warm it's a bonus. Then we thought has to be October and we went with the nearest weekend to our anniversary, which is the 13th October x

Hi Ladies,

eeek!

I feel worried now, I have fallen in love with the venue but haven't booked it yet.

I felt like i was jumping the gun a bit at first even buying wedding magazines but now i feel worried!!

We're going to see the venue again on 16th Feb so hopefully we'll be able to take the deposit with us and get the date we want booked up. Its a wednesday so i'm hoping it won't have already been booked, i'm sure weekends are more popular.

I have seen a dress online that I am just going to HAVE to try. I'm in love with it.

Hi MrsEden2b,
I'm sure you'll get the date you want, a lot of venues still have loads of places left, and i'm sure your right that a Wednesday will be available.
Your dress is beautiful! x

That dress is lovely. We have booked our venue for 2 Oct 2010 but that is about it. All I have done other than that is make an idea board for colours and things so it will be easaier when it comes to looking for things. This is that I have got so far.

hi there. I am new to this site. (well, looked on here before but only just registered) we have finallly set a date and will be getting hitched on 02 Oct 2010. the reason for choosing this date was because we both agreed oct is nice time for a wedding - similar reasons to cluckys thoughts. we actually met on 2nd oct and as it falls on a saturday in 2010, it seemed a good choice of date. (sure ChristineW would agree? lol)
hoping to get wed at our local church and then have the reception at a plush venue thats not too far. its gonna be hell planning though and even worse trying to get my father to cough up some pennies to help us. gt nothing planned as of yet. i still actually need to speak to the vicar about the date but if he can't marry us, we will transfer the whole ceremony to the venue.. i have asked them to let me know of any enquiries they get for that date. i am so excited and so scared at the same time. i know thats normal but still.. i wish i could just elope!

Im another October 2010 Bride.
And like Zoe, Im 10/10/10. Couldnt resist the date. Was planning a cruise wedding originally until my MIL2B was medically advised not to travel so we have now agreed a venue here in Liverpool and then plan a whooper cruise as a honeymoon. Best of both worlds really!.

I have loads of ideas floating around in my head and i have been spending (and I mean days instead of hours) researching things on the internet! I am just really enjoying the local wedding fairs at the minute, I dont want to rush planning everything so soon (as that is my over organised nature) as I think the planning is all part of the build up and it shouldnt be missed!!

I would definately agree. Our Autumn was nicer than summer this year so hoping it will be the same in 2010. But also If it rains we wont be too disappointed casue well we know that our weather is definately not predicatable. Plus our venue is surroun ded by trees so it will be really pretty when the leaves begin to fall.
