My mum has multiple sclerosis and as a result has to use walking sticks. She can't wear heels and is really worried about showing me up on the day. I told her not to be daft, but it's really getting her down. Has anyone been in the same situation or has any ideas of what she could wear. She means the world to me and I don't want her to feel embarrassed on my day. xx

Hi My mother is also disabled, she's has born with dislicated hips and has has numorous operations, now she has a problem with her back. She has never been able to wear high heals but thinks she will be able to wear a very low heal 1-11/2 inches, so I'm looking around for something suitable at the mo too!

She's giving me away as well as my father passed away in 2004, she's wearing a nice top with beaded detail the same colour as my bridesmaids and a ivory 3/4 skirt!

My Aunt also has MS and was in a wheelchair at her daughter's wedding. She wore long skirt with flat shoes. The thing that made her look 'mother of the bride' was her hat. No one will judge your mum on her footwear! She has to be comfortable.

There are some lovely flat sandals or ballet pumps about,i went to a wedding last year and the bride was wearing silver ballet pumps cos she is always uncomfy in heels and wanted to enjoy her day without worrying about her feet, i dont think your mum needs to wear heels to look good it's more important that she is comfortable x
