Hi again!

I recently made some pocketfold invites (and got my first RSVP back today hurray!!!) and found that the trickiest part was actually making the inserts, the invitation and the cover etc! It took ages to get the correct sizes etc.....

If you want to make a similar style to these ones:

the password is: poppetsam

http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/104455817

Email me through this and I will email over the templates. Hope this saves people some time...I know how everything comes around so soon!! x

(The template is to make the 148mm pocketfold - from PDA Card and Craft)

P.s - make sure you download Lainie Day and Copperplate Gothic 32 BC before you email. If I send the doc over (and you haven't downloaded these fonts)...the document will open up a bit 'crazy' and the text will all 'push' out. This then changes the size of the templates and they won't fit in the pocketfold!

HI poppetsam,
I love your invitations!
They are exactly the same style that I'd seen and loved but had no idea how to make! I don't know how to download the fonts either - if you could give me some advice on that then I could d/l them and then ask you for the templates if that would be ok?
Many thanks

Hi poppetsam these are just what i am thinking of doing but was going to buy them. Can you give me some ideas the best places to buy the "raw" materials from and advise on how to make them - they are just so gorgeous and professional! Also how did you do the map ? its a lovely touch

Hey, the map is from Google maps. Literally type in the postcode of the church...then the map will come up. Then click...'Get Directions from here' (a little blue piece of writing with this phrase will pop up.)

Then type in the reception address - Google will do the little A - B and draw the blue line on the map.

The words church and reception are just little text boxes I added to the document. (Do you want me to email you the templates....if you do - just mail me on the button below this message)

Ok....fonts are quite easy to download...

Hopefully this little step by step works...

You might already have copperplate 32 gothic....if not it is £19 from here.
http://www.faces.co.uk/fonts/Adobe/Copperplate-Gothic-32BC-MT000006888/

Lainie day is free.
http://www.urbanfonts.com/fonts/Lainie_Day.htm

To download find the font you like...somewhere on the page where you find your font you will see a 'download' button.....click 'Download' and when asked save the file into a font folder. (Somewhere easy to find) It might ask you to EXTRACT the files...do this and just make sure you extract/save to a folder you know how to find.

Once it is in there follow these instructions:

Click Start - (Green button on the lowest left part of your screen)
Click Control Panel - (Looks like a little board with a pencil ticking)
Click Fonts (Folder with the Green A popping out)
Once in there.....click FILE at the top. Then click Install New Font.
When you are in here you need to look for the folder you saved the font in....open that folder and your new font will automatically pop up in the box above. Click on the font you want to install and click Ok.

It will now be in Word!

Let me know how you get on!

P.s - all the raw materials are from PDA card and craft....v. helpful and will send you all the material and colour swatches before you order!

Poppetsam you are a true genius! Your invites are better than the "professional" ones i've been looking at! You really should give up your day job...think there'd be alot of brides to be after your skills.

Not much at all! And I only realised today that they were actually cheaper than I thought!! I used all of the spare card, the spare off cuts and embellishments to make my table signs, place cards and tableplan..

They are about £1.36 to make...but the cheaper the card you use and the less little jewels you use (I used 8 on each card!! EEek!!) the cheaper they are...plus if you do what I did and use all the spare left over card etc to make your other bits...in theory...it;s even cheaper!!

P.s thank you for the lovely comments guys... Making me smile...and making H2B v. happy as he was the poor man sticking and gluing his life away!! xx

I just managed to dowload the templates, thank you!! It all looked to be in the right place, sorry just one more question. Is Copperplate Gothic 32 BC any different to Copperplate Gothic Light, except for the name obviously!! Only the template appears to look fine on my screen and when I looked to download the 32 BC it looked exactly the same!!
