We flew on a helicoptor from Penzance to Tresco and it was like a tropical island and so small we could walk around it very easiy. The hotel on Tresco looked gorgeous. The flight over Lands End is amazing too
My parents live just outside Penzance and have been over several times, they go to on the ferry and it takes several hours and can be a little choppy at times, I think they go to St Marys. You can also fly over a little plane from an airstrip near Lands End
I am really interested in this too - my H2B is quite keen to organise our honeymoon himself but he won't get away without pointers from me! It would be great to hear from anyone who has been on honeymoon to the Scilly Isles...
Hey, I've been to Tresco a couple of times with my parents - in addition to the hotel there are lots of houses/cottages for rent too, which were lovely. Like HT72 says, you can walk around Tresco in a couple of hours, and the feeling of being on a tiny island is great! You can also take boat trips to the other islands - I think St. Marys is the largest one which has more shops and pubs. From what I can remember, Tresco literally has one general store type shop and a pub! (as well as the hotel). I loved the holidays I had there....want to go back now!!!
Hi, I used to go hear a lot when I was little but I can't really remember it as it was so long ago. My parents still go fairly often thought and I know they stay in a hotel called Star Castle which is meant to be really nice.
