Just wanted to rave about the MAC makeover I had today at Selfridges in Manchester. They were excellent - it's £25 but that's refundable on their products, and they didn't do a hard sell on them at the end. They really listened to the kind of thing that I wanted and showed me how to do it as I'm doing my own wedding make up. Would highly recommend it x
that's good - I love MAC products! it's always worrying with some of the brands doing makeover - seen some ppl caked inthe stuff! - thanks for this will keep it in mind! x
I must admit - i was worried when I got there cos all the girls had illuminous colour lipstick and eyeshadow plastered on but I told them that I wanted to go for subtle! They advised on how to do things that look good on photographs and avoi shine etc.
Sorry to gatecrash - I'm May 09 - but I would also really rate MAC makeovers, I had one in Selfridges London on Tuesday and they were wonderful, she spent at least 1.5 hours going through everything and I never felt pressured in to buying (although i did, lots!)
I've also been to Bobbi Brown, who were also great - no booking fee, they spent ages with me and again no hard sell. Just need to practice putting it all on now!

How much is she charging you? I'm getting married at Carden Park near Chester and was advised to do the same thing. Is she coming to you on the day?

Oooo its lovely at Carden park isn't it, we use the gym there. Lydia's coming out to me on the day and is charging £100 for me (incs a trial) and then it works out £50 each for the BM's. We're having our reception at Doubletree by Hilton (was Hoole Hall Hotel).
If you go into Browns the girls are really helpful and I think most if not all do freelance work x
Clarry- I have a guest who would like to have a MAC makeover of some sort on the day of the wedding but the wedding is at the Doubletree Hilton and we are not sure where she can go to get this done? Also the wedding is at 12 noon!!!
