Hi girlies,

I had a job interview today and spent the last 3 weeks trying to find a new suit, which I never did find. It seemed all the petite suits in shops were plain black or a bit fuddy duddy. Being 22 I wanted to find a suit that was young and fresh and a bit interesting but all I could find was ones that looked like I'd be going to a funeral.

Anyone else had problems finding particular petite items?

I have the exact same problem. I dont have any suits for my job because they always look wrong, even petite sizes just dont seem to hang nice. I havent found one i really like yet still...

Hi, I suggest a look at Reiss, they have great quite funky suits and go down to a 6. Trousers need taking up of course but I'm used to that ...!

I have the same problem...the breast part of the jacket is ALWAYS baggy on me...I'm really into wearing this cropped tux blazer I bought from dorothy perkins but they only had it in size 6 regular...ideally i would like a size 4 petite...it's so lovely but a tad loose at those front bits

I have bought a petite size 6 suit from next...it's the best one I have found so far but still not that perfect fitted look I long for...think I'm going to have to go to savile row or harrods and get one made...can't find a pefect fit anywhere!

I've found that Next is quite good, Mexx do small sizes and Banana Republic have a petites selection.

I used to complain about not finding petite clothing in the uk, but it sooooo much better than the states! in the uk you have principles petite topshop petite next petite debenhams petite even m&s Petite in the us you have a choice of ONE shop with a petite section Dillards and it is full of granny clothing and as for underwear! i am a 30D it is impossible to find one anywhere at least at home they would have had something in M&S I can't wait to get home!

Principles have a good petite range for work type stuff as do Debenhams. Others are Dorothy Perkins, next, Miss selfridge, Topshop, Matalan and wallis.....

I got a size 6 from next about 2 years ago, when I was a size 8. It was far too big then, and now I;'ve lost 1 and a half stone, it looks like it is 4 sizes too big.
Don't go to next! If you're a size 12-14, a next size 10 would fit!

I'd also try Reiss. Topshop do a really good range for petites.

Is it just me or is there a real niche in the market for petite clothing? Tall people have shops of their own, but I've never seen a shop dedicated only to petite women. I know that whenever I sell size 2 shoes on ebay, I always get a ton of bids and they end up selling for a lot!

Thank girls. I finally found a suit now which I got for my graduation. Thanks for the ideas though with clothing it's a double edged sword as I'm only 5'1" and a size 6. And 6 seems to be an allusive size that hardly any where has a lot of choice in.
