Subject: What have you DIY'd?
Hello girls
Just wondered what you've all done yourself, hopefully it will be of some inspiration to those of us on an uber tight budget!
I've made my own bouquets, buttonholes, corsages, pomanders and church flowers.
Used silk green orchids, spent around £70 tops for materials
Designed my own invitations, reply cards, hen night invites and order of service
I used vistaprint to print them and added the ribbons myself
Made my own birdcage veil and feather flower fascinator. I had bought one but I'd wrapped it up to tight and the feathers were ruined.
Cost less than £15! got all the materials from ebay
Made some place card holders from modelling clay, wire and mini clothes pegs for photos as centre pieces
and I think I'm chuffed the most about these they're really cute! one is an xbox control pad (h2b is a real xbox fiend!) and a drum as he's a drummer, a huge heart, a dice, a cupcake, a pear, an apple, 2 peas in a pod, a hedgehog, a snake, a love bird and a rose. I'm going to paint them tomorrow in our theme colours - brown and lime green.
Again super cheap, modelling clay cost £2.60, the miniture clothes pegs were 99p for 50, the craft wire was 50p for 2m and the acrylic paint was 99p each all from ryman.
I'll take some before and after photos tomorrow :\)

I made the invites, orders of service, thankyou cards, place cards, table plan, favours, table centrepieces. Husband just qualified as web developer so he did our website. MIL's partner is a photographer and my auntie has her own cake decorating business! My Dad does fireworks for large events so we had a great display at our reception. My uncle is a retired bishop so he married us, SIL is fantastic at flowers and friend did our video!! What a talented lot I know...!! xxx
