Had an aweful trial today, ended up looking like a clown! can anyone recommend a good make-up artist and or hairdreser that will come to venue in York?

Thanks for the Lauren Sally recommendation, unfortunately the £50 trial cost rules that one out...I'd rather not pay that much.....what if it ends up like today!!

I had my trial with her and was really happy, I trusted she would be good based on her website and also all the feedback on her site. She was really easy to talk to and I felt I could say if there was anything she did that I didn't like. We tried 2 different eyeshadow looks and she stayed until I was completely happy.

I guess with most professional make-up artists you do get what you pay for, well thats my theory to justify the expense anyway. Lol.

I had Emma from Effigy, www.effigysalon.co.uk. They are based in North East but she does travel. She was really good.

She looks fab and the trials aren't too dear. She's not the cheapest overall but like they say you get what you pay for, and how much do you want to look perfect on your one big day I say

Hiya, I'm having Visage from Bradford too but a girl who got married recently used Face etc in York and they charged £30 for the trial, £35 on the day plus the taxi fayre there and back to the hotel.
