Subject: best place to buy a birdcage veil?
hey, been looking at a birdcage veil, but fancy one that is attached to a headband/alice band rather than pinning into my hair - any ideas where to get one? trawled google, but most seem to gather at the back or pin to hair - best place so far is mytiarashop.co.uk, but quite pricey.

thanks

If your a little bit crafty, why not buy an alice band you like, buy the birdcage veiling and sew the two together. This is what I did. Cost me £1.50.

I got the alice band complete with a flwoer already on it for 98p from Primark, and the merry widow veiling from john lewis.

I bought two of the hair bands and kept one plain to wear in the evening.

If you're not crafty... as ever, my answer appears to be etsy!

Tihs seller ahs a few like you're after:

But have a general search about. Also, it might be worth approaching people on folksy - I've managed to get a seller on there to make a hat for me totally different from any she had on her site!

I have to say though - I'd be doing what bennic did if I were after one ;\)

that does sound fairly strightforwards, is it easy enough to get it to poof round your face?

i love the temptress one here, but for £100 it seems a bit steep!!!

Mine's from Etsy and it's on a hairband:

Ignore the scary doll woman!

It's not full-on Bird Cagey but I was afraid I might get annoyed with it all over my face. Also, the veily bit is on velcro so I can whip in off in the evening and just wear the hairband.

If any of you are passing Oasis, they have some headbands with a big flower attached which they do in black or ivory. They have gone into the sale for £5!!! Bought a black one and am going to attach netting myself. When I can figure that out!!
