hi, just wondered if anyone else is having a honeymoon baby??we got married last month and am now pregnant, we started TTC straight away but didnt expect it to happen so soon!!

I am getting married on the 1st of November and we want to start on the wedding night! I have a Mirena at the mo which I will get removed this month then be careful till the wedding night! Anyone else had a Mirena removed?!

Elleblue - were doing the same as you, had my coil removed two weeks ago.. were being careful now until wedding night/honeymoon. I didn't have the Mirena one though (that's the hormone one, right?)..x

Just wanted to say congrats to all the pregnant ones and good luck to the ones who are going to try!
We were going to try and have a Honeymoon baby, but it didnt quite go to plan, baby is due in a week and we dont get married til November so it happened a bit soon for us haha!!

We got married on the 28th may and concieved on the 29th/30th. It is a complete shock as we only stopped taking the pill on the 28th! It is obviously meant to be and congratulations x

Did it hurt when they removed it?
I have so many questions! I didnt ever really have regular periods so I am hopefull that I will get some sort of a cycle going when i have it removed. I have read that you are to start taking folic acid for 3 months before TTC as well? Did your doc advise anything like this?

Nah, removing it didn't hurt at all, I didn't feel it come out..
After removal my periods went back to exactly as they were before i had the coil put in three years ago..
I haven't started taking folic acid yet, I'm going to start taking it in a couple of weeks (about one month before ttc) my doctor didn't give me any advice, but she's a rubbish doctor in my opinion so i didn't expect her to be that helpful! :/

Thanks CupCakes! My Doc is I am sure a walking talking advert for Mirenas! SHe loves them! Ill make an appointment today then for next week and be brave!
I think Doctors must be trying to push coils cuz it's all my doc talks about too! but she gave me no advice regarding ttc/folic acid etc..

We're having a honeymoon baby too! We were trying for 11 months before the wedding and then it hppened on the honeymoon. I think all the stress of planning etc didn't help. I never thought it would happen, just goes to show that when you relax and forget about it, it'll happen.
I'm now 20 weeks and found out a few days ago that we're having a girl!! Yay!!!

We started trying on our wedding night and I was pregnant by the time we got back from honeymoon. We now have the most beautiful baby girl. I'd def recommend it Good luck ladies its the best thing in the world, Debs x x
