I went back to sky last year with the deal of a mix package, BB and sky talk for £16 pm for 6 months, then £26 pm. It's been 12 months now and I'm paying £93 pm I dont even have the full package... just rung them and asked why and the response was "that's the price of your package M'am".

Grrrr I left virgin after joining them for 3 for £30 then suddenly going up to £98

Sometimes I wish we didn't have a telly.

Blimey, what package do you have? We have the full entertainment one, with sports and that costs us £47 a month. Although we don't have sky plus or anything like that, just normal sky.

Do not get me started with SKY! i F**KIN hate them!
Sorry for the language but I have had hell with them for 2 yrs now! They set up 2 accounts in my name when I joined! I informed them immediately of their mistake and was told not to worry!
2 yrs later I have had to put up with them over charging me, demanding money for the cancelled account, harrassing me, cancelling all our packages, turning our Sky off, god the list goes on
Everytime I called up to say I had had enough n was cancelling they would assure me they had worked miracles n that the problem was solved n I would not have any trouble again! Then weeks later it would all start again!
I phoned the other night to say enoughs enough cancel the bloody thing now only to be asked why this second account had never been cancelled! Why? Because every person I;ve spoken to at Sky for the past 2 friggin years has said that it couldn't be!! 2 clicks later the account seizedto exist.
I'm now just waiting to see what will happen next
Do not let them fob you off, demand to speak to someone of higher authority
We now have 3 months free as some kind of an apoligy but it should be more like a year free for what they put us through
Good luck

They are complete crap. I moved my phone and broadband to them at the beginning of the year and they competely %&*$# it up. I applied online and was quoted an unbelievable price so I phoned them to check it was right to be told that if that's the price the website said, that's the price I would pay.

What a load of balls. They charge me more than double what I was told. 6 months on and I have an ongoing complaint but you can't speak to anyone in the complaints team, it all has to be passed through the numpties who work in customer service or by letter.

Grrrrr.

Wow 93 sounds alot. I'm with them I have the £5 per month BB as we do'nt down load a lot and full package (all channels, sports and movies) plus HD which is 10 a month and mine is 74 max???

Have you been on to the website as a new customer and put a package together to see what that comes up with?

Threaten to cancel??

The broadband costs can differ a lot depending on whether Sky are in your local exchange. If they are you have the choice of the Min, Mid or Max package and all their combi deals. If not and they have to route everything through BT, it's their crappy broadband connect package which costs a lot more and which can't be offered as a comination deal with their phone and tv package.

Don't talk to me about SKY!!! When H2B moved earlier this year, my mum came round to let them in as we were both at work. They managed to go through a box and find a ceramic pot with a lid (not see through) and steal £400 I was saving for H2B's wedding present.

We obviously reported it, Sky have been horrible to me telling me that "just cos I say the money has been taken doesn't mean they will pay back the money" which I realise, I only ask them what they were doing about it.

Then it turns out that there were 2 engineers in my house, 1 was unauthorised and came from a different area and joined his mate cos he was bored I again asked what the hell they were going to do about it and was told by their customer services "I don't have to justify myself to you!" WTF!!!

The Police said that he had been in the job for a long time and although they had to drop the case through lack of evidence he knew that the 2nd guy had taken my money

I used to work in the customer srvices dept. at skye years ago. If you get a good operator then you will get fantastic service and things will get delt with, if not then they do nothing.

The best way to deal with them on the phone is to stay calm (I know it's difficult) and politley ask to speak to a manager, not a team leader but a manager, they have at least one on for each shift, s oif you phone at 2am (you get through quickly) there should be at least one manager in the building. When the manager comes on the phone (don't accept call back in case they don't do it) ask for their info, name, position and shift (they will say that they don't need to give you this, but if you are being calm and polite they tend to give you it as they are not on the defensive.

Explain your problem and ask them what they are going to do about it? When you reach a solution that you are happy with make sure they put a note on the account saying what is happening and ask them to send out a letter to confirm what is being done (they may try to fob you off saying that they can't do this, but be polite and say that you will need this letter etc).

Customer service operators so often treat the customers really badley. Would you believe it Sky is actually one of the best for their customer services (not prices though) I had an operator lie to me the last time I phoned them, he lied about billing and reducing my package, got a shock when I told him I used to work there and could work out the billing without a problem myself and knew what I would have to pay and what would be re-credited to my account. However Virgin is worse they set up a whole new package in h2b's name when he said he didn't want it! Some people.
